New Owners Rock 5/19/2011

Good: I like the owners best of all..They are great. They made me feel like I have known them for a very long time. The wife is named Debbie and she has been the sushi chef on and off there for three years..She bought the place from the previous owner with her husband Scott. He is also a great guy.... Bad: Im not unhappy with anything there. I wish there was more seating on a weekend...lol.... but its is a busy place these days on friday and saturday...but worth waiting if you have to.... Other: The food was the most amazing sushi I have ever had and the fried rice cannot be beat... I loved it...The wine list is pretty good... more

Happy Visit 5/18/2011

Good: This was a great place. new owners Scott and Debbie were great. They have their family working there and they were all good at service..The food was better than any other sushi and japanese food Ive ever had. Even my husband enjoyed it and hes a steak and potatos guy... Improvements: Wouldnt mind seeing a few domestic beers to make my husband really enjoy it.... Other: all in all...I cant imagine ever eating sushi anywhere else in indiana again except this place...it was great. more

New Owners, great stuff 5/18/2011

Good: I liked it all basically. The service was great but the food was amazing. had food from both kitchen and the sushi bar.. wow is all i can say.... Bad: It was a little pricey..it was good enough to be worth it...but still...if i had a wish... Other: The new owners are great. the lady "Debbie: is worth the trip alone she is a clown in the best sense of the word....very very funny and sweet.. more

Update! 11/2/2010

The young man who managed to work in the kitchen of this establishment for 3 nights, count them ,3, a new record for this place, was told on the Wed. evening that he" did not understand our culture" and was fired. The owner is Phillipino, not Japanese! Japanese would NEVER treat people this way! Also kitchen staff are only allowed to use COLD water to wash the dishes in the machine, hot water costs too much! more

Don't eat here ! 10/29/2010

The owner is stealing tips, not paying the people hired to work one or two nights and then being fired. The dishes are being washed with Hand pump soap. My family member worked 2 nights and was told there would be NO pay for the 2nd days work because the person was over-paid for the first night. And although the tips were paid for the 1st night the 2nd night was NO TIPS because the person was still in training! This is illegal.If all the people who have worked here would resond to this it could be stopped. These people are running a SCAM!!! Eat here at your own RISK. Work here at your own risk as well. There is a PERMANENT ad running in the Southside paper. more
