I wouldn't take my children here anymore. Some staff are really mean to the kids.

Editorial review from Citysearch 12/6/2013

I do not usually write reviews but seeing that the YMCA has received only one review and that it was a bad one I feel I must object to the one sided opinion. I have been a member for 10 years and I have only positive experiences. The staff is always helpful and professional. Granted that there are a few less warm and friendly than the others but they do a good job at what they do. Most are very pleasant and are fun to deal with. This is especially true of the front desk and the all the exceptional pool and educational staff. I am personally friendly with dozens of members all of whom have, like me, the highest regard for the Y and all its management and employees. I owe the Y, its swimming pool, the facilities and its people considerable credit for the level of my own health and well being. I have belonged to other gym facilities over the last 40 years and this is by far the best experience I have ever had. My only negative comment is that as a senior with limited means I would have liked the service to be free as it is in most other YMCAs but I recognize the level and quality of the services are well beyond the others and therefore I am sure it is much more expensive to run. more

I would strongly discourage anyone from joining this YMCA. The staff is the most crabby and rude crew around. It starts at the top and filters down. There is nothing Christian about this organization. Pros: location, wt room Cons: Crabby staff more

Rude workers 10/21/2008

This YMCA is large, but old. Depsite a recent ""update"", it is smell and falling apart. The weight room the only bright spot, as it has been recently expanded. I was a member here for 2 1/2 years and didn't go often for one main reason. The staff is horrible. The desk is staffed with clueless, rude, high school age girls. Whenever you have a question, you are treated as an annoyance. Often you will stand there for minutes before they will stop their gossiping and even notice you. Then you will be treated as if you were wasting their time as they disinterestedly/halfway answer your question. Expect to have to talk to 3 or so people to get anything resolved. I had to speak to a progression of 4 people to cancel my membership. Pros: New weight room Cons: Horribly rude staff, old and smelly, nightmare parking more
