Worst

I would not call this my favorite chinese restaurant. The food has MSG and is salty. Fried rice while abundant is very dry and lacks flavor. All the other dishes taste the same.

Love Yang Chow. Delivery always shows up within 30 minutes, they come upstairs to my front door (some delivery people call via cell and tell me to come down to their car), and the food is consistently good (and never cold!). Big fan! more

They have quick delivery times and many vegetarian options. We do not love their spinach noodle soup, but all food seems pretty solid. more

China's Here 12/22/2008

Yang Chow Restaurant is a classic Chinese restaurant. The environment actually makes you feel like you are in China. The food is great, and they cater effectively. They are reliable and will make you delicious food, while delivering it on time. more

SO good! We ordered the Peking Duck, the Lobster with Shrimp Fried Rice and Garlic Sauce, the Mushrooms, snowpeas, and squid and received a free order of eggrolls. The duck was awesome. The lobster rice was bomb (a whole, albeit small, lobster over fried rice with prawns and delicious garlic sauce). The third dish was good too but it was hard to compete against the richness and flavor of the first two. I didn't have enough room in my stomach to try the eggrolls. This is now my go to chinese place in oakland. more

Delivery time dead on from GrubHub estimate. Everything soooo good- we have a new favorite Chinese delivery spot! Ordered the eggplant with bean curd and the garlic sweet/sour beef. The special fried rice was excellent as well, as was our app- pork egg rolls (yummy seasoned ground pork, no veggies). more
