Oh delicious Yaki's how I love thee. Your rice bowls are my favorite lunch time treat. It's a little corner stand with really no seating, but my car always smells good after I take the food for a ride. more

Best POTATO salad, believe it or not! 7/5/2008

The teriyaki bowls are ediable (I guess), what you would expect at a burger stand. The pastrami's are good n' greasy, as are the fries, and the order of fries are large. But my reason for the ""5"" star rating is all about the potato salad. Yes, potato salad....believe it or not, this lil'ol' burger stand has an amazing secret recipe that comes together in this all time American picnic favorite. Ever since I accidentally opened up some left over Yaki potato salad from my mother's fridge 12 years ago expecting Chinese (they stuff it in a Chinese take out box) I was hooked. There is a spicy kick to it, but I never asked the ingredients...honestly I probably don't want to know. So if you are in the area or on a lunch run for some teriyaki, try out the potato salad. If you get a teriyaki bowl don't forget to get extra ""yaki"" sauce on the side in case the meat turns out dry. Enjoy! Pros: walk up window Cons: busy street corner more

Yum!!! 6/13/2007

I've been going to the Monrovia Yaki's for years now and would always get cravings, but they unwisely closed down that location in 2006. How disappointed was I?! Luckily, their Burbank location is less than a mile from where I work. I always mostly order the Yako Cheeseburger, which is a cheeseburger with not only a hamburger patty, but a slice of chicken as well. Instead of fries, I get a bulldog, a hotdog wrapped in cheese and mustard and all wrapped in wonton skin and fried. The Burbank site doesn't have indoor seating like Monrovia used to have, but it's all about the food anyway. Go there early for lunch, it tends to get crowded. Highly recommended. Pros: Yako Cheeseburger and Bulldog Cons: No indoor seating like the old Monrovia Yaki's more

Unique but not very good 11/19/2006

This interesting little teriyaki stand has been fascinating me for quite some time. I finally decided to go check it out with a coworker during our lunchbreak. Almost everything here is fried. Badly. I got the spicy chicken bowl, which certainly lived up to its name. The quality of the meat wasn't the greatest and while it was very spicy, it was fairly dry. We also tried their wontons which were very greasy. I'd come back at night sometime to try their teriyaki burger, just to say I've tried it, but I'd avoid anything fried here. more

Best Burger 6/27/2002

The best terriyaki burger ever! I will drive out of my way once I get a craving for a good burger. Add avacado and I'm in heaven. A must try. You will also do the same. Also taste the chicken bowl with their specialty sauces and a hotdog in a wrap called the ""bulldog."" Pros: good food, cheap, local Cons: cook when ordered more
