Where do I begin? WTTW is the station that had the good taste to bring me Monty Python and some of my all time favorite shows like Fawlty Towers and the BBC's The Office (I love that David Brent!) I also really enjoy the variety of concerts and special programming they offer here. I'm proud to be a member of Channel 11 and do my part to help support this wonderful PBS station. more

Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, and so much more 3/18/2006

I used to think PBS stood for pretty boring stuff. (Hey, when you're a kid, everything seems uncool). But now I know just how wonderful PBS can be. After all, this is the station that gave me one of my favorite shows of all time, Fawlty Towers. I grew up watching Monty Python, they show BBC's The Office (I love you David Brent!), and they broadcast some terrific concerts and documentaries. They are mostly viewer supported so I hope a lot more people show their appreciation to this fine network for all they did for us. Thanks Channel 11 for all the great memories :) more

WTTW-Public TV 3/18/2006

Only a block away from Northeastern Ill. Univ. this station broadcasts all over town and even reaches the far suburbs. Some of my all times favorite English comedies I first found here (Monty Python, Dave Allen etc..) Nowadays they are showing one of my new favorite English comedies "The Office". I think the U.K. version is much better than the NBC American version. They also show some great rock concerts these days. Yes, some of the stuff they show is boring, but overall they do a fine job. I would advise them to keep their fundraisers a little shorter. Just put up the number, we all know it't PBS. They still even show Sesame Street. Why not throw them a few bucks! more
