Editorial review from Citysearch 11/16/2012

First, Dr. Wrigley is great. She is very attentive and seems like a very knowledgeable doctor. She gave me a lot of time during my eye exam and seemed very attentive to my issues. Her front desk staff, however, is awful. Just awful. They are not nice, very unprofessional. Each time I am in there, all I hear is them talking about all of the drama in their lives. And, the music they choose to play is terrible. Last time I was in there, they were playing very unprofessional rap music. Here's a tip for Dr. Wrigley, clean house! Get rid of your front desk staff. It's because of them that I will be finding another opthamologist. more

Lousy Service 12/18/2009

I had two appointments here. The first one the office was 20 minutes late, but I let it go. The second time they kept me waiting 25 minutes. During that time no one told me they were running late, no one explained anything, they just kept me waiting until I walked out. A big waste of time. Very unprofessional staff. Pros: The waiting room chairs are comfortable Cons: You spend too much time in the waiting room more

Worst place to go 8/26/2008

I am a new customer to this horrible establishment, unfortunately. I went there for an eyeglasses and contact exam. I decided to let them put the new glasses into my old frames. It was $349 for the glasses total. When I went to go pick up my glasses the frames were ruined. They were scratched and no longer black and had white spot all over them. To remedy the situation the front desk lady used her finger nails to scratch it off. I told her I wanted my money back. I left the glasses and the manager was supposed to call me as soon as she gets in. Apparently, she does not have a set schedule. I showed up in the afternoon the next business day because she told me to come in anytime. She was on a lunch break. I had to explain the scenario, she tried to tell me that it's not their fault and they told me this could happen. I told her no one explained anything and I did not sign anything. PEOPLE as a customer you have rights to know in writing the consequences of services. She no longer wanted to discuss it and stormed off to the back of the room. The front desk lady gave me a full refund. I ended up going to Philadelphia eyeglass labs on arch and 11th and got my new glass for under 150 with more features. Now I am having a problem with my contact Rx. No company will give me lenses because 1) the office won't verify the rx and 2) the Rx diameter is completely wrong. This office is very unprofessional and will take your money. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! If you have, I am sorry.\r Cons: everything. All services have been a nightmare. more

Look elsewhere...waste of time and money 5/23/2008

This is the worst place for an eye exam! \r \r I was a new patient to the practice and scheduled my appointment for contacts and glasses. I waited in the tiny waiting area for 45 min before being seen by a tech then waited a few more min before being seen by the resident dr. He did everything and Dr. Wrigley came in for the last 5 min to review his work and did a quick assessment on me. And when I asked what my new vision prescription was, they asked me to call in with my old prescription?s numbers so they could compare?that didn?t sound right b/c it sounded like they were either unsure or just plain cheating! (the nerve of asking for someone else? work!) Isn?t that what I paid them to do? And what irritates me more is the fact that a resident dr did most of the work and I specifically asked if I was being seen by her when I booked the appointment and the desk clerk said ""yes""...well I guess I can't fault her too much b/c she did ""see"" me...if you want to count the 5 min she was in the room with me. Then I was told I could pick out some frames and the selection was ok, but nothing to boast about. Overall, I think I spent over 2 hours for the appointment and most of it was wasted sitting around waiting.\r \r What was more disappointing was 1.5 week later my glasses were ready and my trial pair of contacts came in so I scheduled another appointment to have them checked out and I had an appointment for 11pm?I didn?t leave the office until 1pm?disgusting. And the sad thing is, my vision is sharper with my old glasses prescription than with the new one!\r \r Long story short, I was very disappointed in the service and I?ve gotten better service at my other dr office and it?s a shame my new job?s insurance is not accepted there. I would not recommend this site. What a waste of my time and money!\r \r I know some may think I'm being a bit harsh, but I wish this review was available for me to see before I went there so I could find another provider. Cons: long wait, poor quality of work more
