World Center is wonderful place to visit 3/4/2012

The world Center is a fun yet educational place to spend a afternoon. You can pack a lunch and enjoy eating it in the out-door courtyard when the weather is nice. There are many educational activities for the kids, and knowledgable volunteers to help you with any questions. But it is not a zoo, it is a visitor center with a conservation message. They do not rehabilitate wildlife although some of the birds you view in the center were dontated to them from various rehab centers. The Peregrine Fund is known world wide for it's conservation efforts, and hands on scientific approach to helping solve enviromental issues that effect many species of raptors. They currently breed and release to the wild, two endangered species; The California Condor and the Aplomado Falcon. There is a tour available two times each day to the Archives of Falconry. The Archives is an amazing place not to be missed. There is also a trail close to the archives, that you can walk out to a wonderful vista overlooking the Boise Valley. For "Birders" there are lots of wild raptors to watch flying near the center. I recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys nature. -Lee more

Out of the ordinary entertainment 8/19/2005

I've been here on field trips, and I find it very entertaining because it's not your run of the mill amusement park or arcade, it's very different. It's also very fun. The entire staff is very knowledgeable on the subject of raptors and birds of prey, and the facility has many different species of birds, as well as a wealth of information on how the birds live, their predators and prey, anything you could want to know. If you're looking for some fun that'll be memorable, head out to the World Center for Birds of Prey, it'll definitely keep you entertained. more

Too see these birds is rare and amazing! 8/8/2005

Located on the outskirts of Boise Idaho lays a rehab center for birds of prey. The birds located in the center were injured birds either taken into rehab and be released or injured too bad to be released. These birds were simply amazing. While taking a birds of Prey class two years ago we were able to go and see this center, it was simply a once in a life time opportunity to see such amazing and huge birds in person! more
