Editorial review from Citysearch 8/21/2013

This is a fabulous place to bring your pets. I've been with them for 20+ years and have nothing but praise for them. They treat your pets as if they were their own, so you will get the most efficient and caring treatment. If you love your pets, bring them here! more

20 yrs! What A Waste. 12/5/2010

I gave this place 20 yrs of referrals,my cats,my girls cats,my cockatiels and when my pet needed one more injection they said NO. The doctor herself told me it would cost $$$ then after the work was done she said I was wrong it's another $50 bucks and since I did not have it right, then, and there, my pet was refused one more injection. Without this injection the 5 prior injections were useless and would have to start all over again. I was also not allowed to be with my pet for the injections and any one who has rats knows how anxious they get. I should have learned from the lack of compasion they had back in 1999 when after they spade my kitten she was shot and killed with a BB gun, they were to busy to do the autopsy so I had to bring her some where else. No compasion then and now. more

Best Reptile care anywhere 10/29/2010

I have been taking my reptiles to the worcester cat hospital and bird clinic for over 7 years. Owning 3 different species, (iguana, bearded dragon and a russian tortoise), have always had excellent care. Dr. Oleary and staff spend an unbelivable amount of time on care and information and without them my iguana would be long gone. Pet stores where I got these didn't have a clue how to take care of them and they all have very different needs for food and temperatures and housing. This hospital has full information on every kind of reptile and when my iguana was very sick they were able to bring her back to health. She needed fluids and injections and diet changes and several medications but she is a different animal today, big, green and beautifl (she was brown and shrivelling up when I took her there) Thank you to Dr. Oleary and everyone at this hospital for your wonderful care! Susie especially thanks you! more

A Terrible Experience 1/7/2009

Pet ""treated"" by this vet was a bearded dragon. Our experience was terrible.\r \r We were told that our pet was going to die without a battery of expensive tests and surgery. We were also told that the vet wouldn't perform any services for our supposedly dying animal unless she was paid in full up front; our attempt to set up an installment plan was categorically refused. We were accused by O'Leary of being neglectful. She literally reduced my wife to tears over the phone.\r \r After being told on Halloween 2007 that our pet would be dead by the following Thanksgiving, I'm happy to say that he is still alive as of January 2009 and quite healthy as he approaches his thirteenth birthday.\r \r A second opinion with another vet resulted in our being told that all he needed was a small dietary change; there was never anything significantly wrong with him.\r \r I wonder how many pets have been needlessly euthanized because of this veterinarian. In any case, I would STRONGLY advise owners to take their pets elsewhere for care. Pros: Staff allowed us to leave the office Cons: Misdiagnosis, hard-heartedness more
