My complete experience with Dr. Bui was amazing. From the exam to the surgery all of my questions and concerns were answered and most of all my fears were relieved with compassion and understanding. The day after my surgery when I had to return for my follow up and had to drive on I 35 I could feel how stress free my driving experience was because of my 20/20 vision of my left eye. No more stress and having to look over my shoulders repeatedly when driving, I could just see! In addition so nice to be able to read all the text on my iphone and on my own online booking system. Thank you Dr. Bui! I would recommend Dr. Bui to anyone having concerns or fears about their eye surgery procedure or consultation! more

No pain. All gain. I chose astigmatism-correcting laser cataract surgery to both give me super-sharp distance vision and to remove the cataracts that clouded my vision, making it impossible to drive at night (among other things). I still use a pair of cheater glasses for reading, but no more trifocals, no more stuffing contacts into tired eyes, no more fishing around for glasses just so I can get out of bed. Dr. Marie Bui performed my quick surgeries (eyes about a week apart) kindly explaining every step. There was NO pain, and I'm a pain wimp. No pain after, either. Prescribed drops and artificial tears soothed my eyes. I didn't even need a Tylenol in addition to the one provided at the surgery. Totally worth it. Should have done sooner. more

I recently had laser cataract surgery on both eyes and could not be happier. Dr. Bui is wonderful and she and her staff could not have been more caring throughout the whole process. They made it all very easy and comfortable. Most importantly, the results are amazing. I can see well without glasses or contacts, even when reading, for the first time in many years. I keep pinching myself to make sure it's really true! I would highly recommend Austin Eye and Dr. Bui. more

I been seeing another eye doctor for5 yrs. Still had many problems with eyes till my boyfriend told me I needed to see his eye doctor (Dr. Bui). I knew when I first met Dr Bui she instilled the confidence I needed to trust her with my sight. Dr. Bui has all the making for fantastic, wonderful, secure doctor. I had many problems she fixed both eyes and I was able to see again 20/20, still have use glasses for reading but since is is only been couple weeks every day it gets better. Dr Bui did Lasik surgery, place stents in both eyes to relieve my glucoma pressure which my other doctor told me I was fine even though I still kept telling him my eyes are getting worst,fixed my astigmatism, & cataracts in both eyes. Dr Bui will take the time to answer and explain very well. I just love Dr Bui. She works very hard to give her patients the best treatment possible. I had my first cataract surgery last year with Dr. Bui and afterwards I couldn't wait to get my second eye done. She completed that second surgery several weeks ago. Wow! What an incredible difference in my vision! When I was diagnosed with cataracts last year, I was hesitant in doing the surgery. There was fear on my part of the surgery itself, fear of "what if something went wrong during surgery and I permanently lost my eyesight," etc. Within only hours of last years surgery, there was such a huge difference in my vision, I knew instantly I had made the right choice. The same is true with the second surgery. Dr. Bui and her staff at the surgical center are truly, "the best of the best." I have zero doubt that all physicians at Austin Eye are great, but in my opinion, Dr. Bui truly "walks on water." She is technically/medically outstanding, professional, has a great personality, and takes the time with you to visit and assure all of your questions are addressed and your fears are laid aside -- an extremely rare combination to find in today's medical world. I understand there is hesitation in getting a surgery like this done, but learn from my experience, team up with Dr. Bui and her staff. You'll not only have a significant improvement in your eyesight, but you'll also have an eye doctor you'll treasure for the rest of your life. more

I am extremely pleased with the results, the process and the staff from start to finish throughout my cataract surgery. From the front desk to the doctor and everyone in between efficiency, clarity and helpfulness was displayed. I now have 20/20 vision without the use of even reading glasses. I highly recommend it. I am even thinking of having the back of my eyes done. more

I was a surgery technician in the US Army. I am now retired and 65 years old. I worked with many surgeons while in the military, thousands of operations. I came to the conclusion that surgeons with small hands perform the best work, especially women surgeons. Dr. Marie Bui is small in stature and has small hands, ideal for eye surgery. I read Dr. Bui's biography and she was an honor graduate, the best of the best! It was for these reasons that I chose her to perform my cataract surgery, I was scared at first but the actual surgery lasted about half an hour and was painless. I was able to see clearly after about 6 hours, I have 20/20 vision now and was able to pass the eye test at the DMV. I now have a brand new driver's licence with no restrictions. I have my life back, thank you Dr. Bui!!! more
