Won Won Wok

My high school daughter and I grabbed a quick bento box each of sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken. Although the sauces were alright, the chicken was grisly, chewy, and stringy. I actually had to spit out an entire piece because it was uneatable. The spring roll in the box was typical, but the accompanying fruit consisted of three slices of canned pear; pretty pathetic looking. We ordered water to drink and it had a really funny after taste so we could not even clear our pallets of the nasty chicken fiasco. \r \r My recommendation: Take the time to drive seven minutes further to China Express just off Pony Express Parkway in Eagle Mountain. We have eaten there three times and had wonderful experiences with each dining. more

I keep hoping this place will get better but it doesn't. The food hasn't really bene bad, but the service has always been less than desirable. Today the waiter brought me tempura shrimp and I'd asked for tempura shrimp and veggies. When I mentioned it to him he said, "You didn't ask for the veggies." And I remember I DID and even pointed to it on the menu. And for Pete's sake! You don't tell the customer they are wrong! He came back to tell me that they were going to charge $2 more. That is fine, that is the price of the shrimp and veggies. However, a great restaurant would have just written that off since it was their mistake. Then they charged me $1 extra for a few tiny pieces of sliced lemon to go on top of my california roll. Yet again, fine. But I was annoyed at being told they were charging me extra this and extra that. And I can buy a whole lemon for less than a dollar at the grocery store. This is a terrific Chinese place and they serve very good sushi as well. Prices are moderate and the food keeps our family coming back again and again. I love the Mu Shu Pork and the lettuce wraps are as good as the ones served at PF Changs. Do not make the mistake of passing on this place because it is in Saratoga Springs, It is good food. I wish I could rate this restaurant 0 stars. I ordered the 'chinese bento box' with Sesame Chicken. Egg drop soup was the first course, it was orange and tasted like dish soap. Then my bento box came. It had fatty disgusting chicken that I wouldn't even feed to my dog in it. The spring roll was rubbery and tasteless. Even the Pepsi that came with my meal tasted watered down. Fortunately my fortune cookie appeared to be prepackaged and made elsewhere. It was the best part of my meal. Unless you want to be thoroughly disgusted I would eat ANYWHERE else! People around me all seemed to be grossed out by their meals as well. Several people around me appeared to be spitting their food out into their napkins. I have never been to a more disgusting place. Love this restaurant, it has the freshest sushi my husband and I have ever had! Great portions especially for the price. Same chef every time we go. We make a special trip every few months just to indulge in their rolls! Pros: Awesome Prices more

The first time we went to the Won Won Wok we asked for 4 adults and 2 high chairs. The hostess showed us to a table, pointed and said "the high chairs are over there." We were shocked that in a sit-down restaurant we had to get our own high chairs. And its not like they were busy; we we the only ones there. Another time we had some questions about menu items. Our server's response was a shrug and "I don't know," not even bothering to go find out. We decided that the service was so bad that next time we'd try take-out. I found a printable coupon online from the Entertainment Book for 2 for 1 menu item. We took it in and the restautant wouldn't honor it because it wasn't 'torn out of the book.' i am a big fan of sushi..... good sushi and for a good price. won won wok when going in seems pretty empty but don't let that fool you, they are fast, friendly and serve tons of take out orders. the service is friendly fast and the food is outstanding for the price. if you like the sushi at happy sumo you will find this sushi comparable but cheaper! it also has good asain food if you are not a fan of the sushi (like my husband) large portions, fast service, great prices...... just don't go there too often because i don't want you to slow down me getting my food :) Pros: great food cheap Cons: none yet more
