Not all docs are created equal 2/27/2011

Dr Bair is amazing! I think it is unfortunate that the reviews of other docs are showing up under Dr Bair's review. Dr Bair has amazing custoer service and you don't feel like it is just business. You feel like he cares and respects you as a person. Unfortunately, some docs don't understand people skills or truly care for their patients and that is extremely obvious by the comments made. He listens, he cares and he has years of experience to give his patients the best care. For those of you who have lost faith in docs. He is the perfect doc to your restore your faith in the system and deliver your most treasured gift your baby. more

I have been going to WHA for about 6 years and will continue to do so even though I now live over an hour away. Dr. Bair did a great job with my prenatal care and delivery of my two children. The 1st a vag. delivery, the 2nd a c-section. He has a wonderful bedside manner and I feel I can trust him and feel at ease in his care. I have had some visits though where both he and the nurse and desk staff have seemed disorganized. Some of the nurses don't seem to know what they're doing. Dr. Bair seems very knowlegable about infertility and PCOS and helped us to conceive our second child. When Dr. Bair was unavailable I have seen Drs Dion, Johnson, and Wentross. I was not at all impressed with Johnson or Wentross. They were both very cold and unfriendly. Dion was great. I have also seen Lori Skoczylas (Nurse Practitioner) for annual paps and breast exams. She was very caring and thorough. She found a lump in my breast and was very helpful with information and emotional support. \r \r Overall I would definitely recommend WHA and Dr. Bair and Lori Skoczylas to friends and family. But be proactive about your health care there as there has been some disorganization and confusion, which happened around the time they moved to a new building and may have been the reason for that. Pros: Bedside manner, knowledgeable about infertility and PCOS and their treatments, competent, nice atmosphere, trustworthy Cons: Sometimes disorganized, some Dr.s have a horrible bedside manner if you're not their patient. more

It's business and not a Service 6/1/2008

First time parents, If you are looking for a doctor in WHC pls don't ever go for Dr. Stull especially for Asians. We choose her because of her experience and she did nothing for us. Our experience was very very bad with WHC. My wife had a gestational diabetes, from the day she diagnosed all the records say our's is a High risk pregnancy , If the doctors in America say having gestational diabetes is a high risk pregnancy, look at china and India 99% of pregnant women have that and there they don't even consider it's problem, here by making it high risk they can earn money. Due to this gestational they send us to North West Prenatal for all NSTs and Ultrasound so that in addition they can make NWP to bill my insurance and increase their revenue. Finally hall of shame, Dr Stull did not do the delivery for my wife because we have been told she is on her vacation (unquestionable reason we use in America) and never came to visit us in the postpartum room. What she has done is a business with us and not a Hospitality service that they are suppose to do. It's a total mess with the people sitting in the front desk, some have cancelled all our appointments (nearly 4 NST and 3 Ultrasound) , till date we don?t know who has done that, finally we fixed appointment with some other provider and the billing landed in co-insurance which i have to pay from my pocket for the mess which they did. They don't have any coordination either Front desk to Nurse or Nurse to Doctor. In the last 10 months, we haven?t got a single call from them prior to the appointment, which most of the doctor?s office will do. In addition, i recommend to go for OHSU than the near by Hospitals.\r \r Pros: Nothing to say.\r \r Cons : Every thing is messy, Don't even have a Drinking water facility in the lobby. Never recommend to my friends and relatives.\r \r Still not yet over, I do not know what kind of experience I am going to have with the billing department.\r more

Wonderful experience... if you know who you're seeing! 3/1/2008

Dr Warhus was a great, responsive, and caring doctor throughout my pregnancy. Couldn't recommend him more. Unfortunately, when scheduled to see Dr. Simpson while he was out of town, I was appalled at her bedside manners and immediate judgments about me. She almost ordered bloodwork for me because she misread my chart, and assumed I was anemic (because I'm a vegetarian, she pointed out.) Fortunately I had already been told my iron levels were great, told her so, and she stopped cold. She was also assuming the baby was small for gestational age because I don't eat meat, when in reality I was measuring 2cm ahead at the time. After measuring me twice she agreed. She did apologize, I'll give her that.. but is it really necessary to double-check your doctor like this?\r \r But I can say that she was the on-call doc when I delivered, and aside for telling me to ""Shut up"" when I was crowning, she did a great job and the delivery went smoothly. She was competent. So while she came off as a fairly cold and judgmental doctor, I didn't feel unsafe, either. And I suppose that's all she has to do.\r \r It was overall a great clinic, though, and my care was more than adequate. I just really was appalled at that one doctor. Pros: Dr Warhus was really great, others not so much... Cons: billing dept. estimated i'd only owe 3000 after delivery.. was stuck with 10k bill. Some unfriendly docs. more

I cannot go on enough about Dr. Simpson. She made my high risk pregnancy as easy as possible. She helped keep me sane and focused, and most importantly, she was extremely knowledgeable in her field. Pros: everything Cons: cannot think of one more

This clinic and Dr. Cross while dispensing average care do it with a manner that indicates to the patient you are only one of many people being seen today. The manner in which they treat you is like a cafeteria where you are bustled along in a line and hastened through a routine. Should you need anything later and call for a medication refill it can be very difficult to deal with their system. Pros: Good Parking, Latte Stand, Big Waiting Room Cons: Dr. is difficult, You treated like #, K-Mart like atmospher more
