I have had several experiences with SJRA, and all have been positive. Beginning with the staff at check in, continuing through the procedure, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My mom is claustrophobic and needed a closed MRI. They were so patient and extremely helpful in getting her through the procedure. Results were quick. What a great experience. They found a tiny cancer which my doctor said was remarkable. They treated me with compassion. I had my biopsy done in a day and the result in three days.\r \r My Surgeon was able to treat my cancer with minimal surgery and you can't even see the scar. \r \r Thanks to Dr Piccoli and the fabulous staff at South Jersey Radiology. i completely disagree with the first reviewer, probably due to being better versed in my own healthcare. i understand that when a ""screening mammogram"" is performed, the study is checked immediately for film quality, then given to the radiologist such as Dr. Patel to review. Additional films, be it for questionable calcifications or scar tissue that may mimic a mass on xray film, is just that, additional. according to the American Cancer Association a screening mammogram consists of as many films needed to obtain the 2 views required, cranial caudal, and medial lateral oblique. anything beyond that is technically, and legally, considered a ""diagnostic mammogram"", in other words, mammography films targeted to a particular area of the breast to help diagnose an abnormality in the breast. i have also been a patient of South Jersey Radiology, and particularly Dr. Bhupendra Patel, an have found the facility and Dr. Patel in particular very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. it does such a disservice to yourself and others to voice an uninformed opinion. i highly recommend this facility and Dr. Patel. dr. bhupendra patel & south jersey radiology request additional mammorgram & ultra sounds when they can not differentiate between breast reduction scar tissue and a cancerous tumor...unfortunately they submit these extra screenings as diagnostic instead of preventative which incurs an additional cost to the patient beyond your ppo plan premiums (specifically with aetna ppo choice 2 product). south jersey radiology does not seem willing to resubmit claims as preventative when asked to by the patient & aetna when questioned on this. sj radiology is not able to quickly scan a mammogram & determine need for more screenings during 1 appointment. Cons: sj radiology needs to be attentive to the patients insurance plans claim codes more
