Great place for the whole family 11/9/2005

This is a fun and educational place to take the kids. Every Tuesday night from 4 to 8 is free admissions, otherwise you have to pay for entrance. There are numerous activity centers and exhibits to see and the theme for the main exhibit changes every few months. Up stairs is an activity room where kids can experiment with wind, water, electricity and gravity. Be sure to visit the tree house outside and the log cabin in the back. more

Free on Tuesdays 9/14/2005

I'll be honest, I wouldn't pay to go there. It's worth it on the free Tuesday. It has some interesting artifacts and the T-Rex skull is neat, always a favorite. There's a tree house for kids and while there is a section for younger kids, it's not much and is generally geared for older children. My toddler found it rather boring after awhile. more

Witte Museum 8/9/2005

This is a fun museum for all ages. There is a little for everyone to see and do. My kids love the treehouse although it's a bit crowded and not enough activities and things for all the kids to do all at once. The waterworld is a fun area where you learn a lot of interesting facts. It costs an extra dollar also for the water world exibit. What's good is on Tuesday it's free admission from 3-8pm. Worth a visit! more

A Fun Museum 8/5/2005

Kids will actually enjoy this museum! This is a good alternative to video games (at least for a day). Kids will enjoy this museum because it has interesting exhibitions that involve science and history. The best part of the museum is that it is all air conditioned. You get to learn some interesting thing and beat the heat. more

Witte Museum 8/4/2005

This museum is prefect for the kids! THey will love it. Best of all is that it is educational! They have things for all ages and it will make the day fun. The admission price can be steep if you have a large family but is worth it at least once. Parking is sometimes an issue and it tends to be crowded sometimes, so be prepared!!! more

Big science museum 7/29/2005

The Witte museum combines both science and history in one place. They have a whole section on what the surrounding rural areas are like with native stuffed animals interspersed in the exhibits. They usually have a rotating special exhibit in one corner of the museum. The Native American exhibit is also good. Free on Tuesday afternoons. more
