This place is the best bar on lincoln in my opinion. In contrast to the other Lincoln Park bars in the area the people who stop in are almost always really nice and laid back and...

Former Blues Bar 5/6/2006

This bar used to be associated with and was known for Blues. It got on "the map" from booking famous Blues musicians. Nowadays they feature other genres or styles of live music such as Rock, Folk,Pop, Alt., etc... I went here recently to see someone I know perform with his band. This place could use a bit of remodeling , however it has a homey and laid back vibe inside. Perhaps they realize if they fix up the inside of the club too much it will attract a yuppie crowd that they don't want. I enjoyed the band I came to see and got treated to another band while I was waiting for they folks I know to hit the stage. I actually found street parking right in front, I guess it is all in the timing! more

  • The Scene
Two rooms, separated by hanging velvet curtains, make up the club. One is the perfect watering hole featuring a beautiful, long wooden bar with mounted TVs, a raised back area with tables and an extensive liquor selection. The adjacent room provides an intimate live music setting with a raised stage, standing room in front and a tiered area in back with several tables.

    The Draw
In 2001, Wise Fools Pub reclaimed its name as a vibrant live music venue. Established in 1968, the club was once the North Side place to see blues by legendary performers like John Lee Hooker, Willie Dixon, Mighty Joe Young and Son Seals--the former two recorded live albums there. For a period in the '90s, different owners abandoned live music and changed the club's name to Waterloo. These days, live performances are scheduled five nights a week and run the genre gamut from DJs to alt-country.
