Best

I have been eating at Wings Suds & Spuds for 7 years now and have never had a bad meal!! The nachos and fries are to die for and then the wings come....and ahhhh, your in Wing He...

Worst

Being new in town and loving wings, there was alot of hype going into this restaurant. We ordered the Curly Fries(3.50) with Cheese(1.50), 18 chicken wings(10.00), Hamburger(5.00)...

Hate to see this happen 2/16/2012

I notice that all the positive reviews are now a little old. I used to agree with them. WS&S were at one point the best wings around. Not any more, the last couple times I went they were just plain bad...very small, overcooked with no meat to them. I used to be amazed when I saw Quaker State ""voted best in city"". These people obiously never had WS&S wings. Unfortunately now even Quaker State as poor of a value as they are probally better than WS&S...really sad. more

why go 6/5/2011

Myself and several friends went to wings suds and duds Saturday night about 7:10 pm seated and ordered after 25 min. we all received out F.F. after another 20 min. or so we became concerned we would be late for our next appointment so we ask the waiter to have our wings to go instead of just leaving. We then received the wings I went to the desk to pay were I was ask if everything was ok I said no we were there for an hour and 1 half that is when it started the so called manager started on me saying he was there all knight and I was not there that long as it turns out we were there only I hour and twenty mins. Any how I ask to pay and then was told I will have to wait longer because I need a number from the waiter so I ask him if he could get the waiter so I could pay and leave he did not my wife had to track down the waiter so I could pay. Now one of the girls in our group ask him if he thought that it was ok what took place and he said yes then he said if you are in a hurry go to McDonalds they have fast food he would not stop so I said please shut up then he got in my face and said what are you going to do about it I said nothing he was going to hit me if I said anything else this is no place to go if they do not remove this man from his job. I called and ask to talk to the owner I was told he would call me back did not. more

Average Wings, Horrible sides 3/1/2011

We ordered lunch take out at work. We ordered a combination of wings, nachos, and buffalo chips.\r \r Overall, the wings were average and for a small they were over 8 dollars for only 10 average size wings! The buffalo chips were like eating burnt lays potato chips, bleh! The ""NACHOS GRANDE"" was $10.50 so you would think they would be a good portion. The amount of chips you get is comparative to the nachos from a little leage ball park and you get one scoop of taco meat, a small container of cheese and a minute amount of the other toppings. JUST REDICULOUS to pay that much for what we got. Will not go here again and would not recommend to a friend. more

Waitstaff are as sholes 10/25/2009

The wings are too big and fatty. They don't cook them enough. I asked that my wings be cooked plain, extra well done and a container of their sauce on the side and they said no. THEY SAID NO!!! This is not an impossible request. This is something easily done and the waitress actually seemed annoyed while I ordered. She told me all wings are cooked the same and she couldn't give me wings not cooked in sauce. I've had wings in tons of places and given how close they are to me I've wanted to try this place again, but the cu nt that chastised me has ruined it for me. Cons: Terrible seating, terrible waitstaff, food is average more

Just The Best Wings Ever!!! 6/29/2009

I have been eating at Wings Suds & Spuds for 7 years now and have never had a bad meal!! The nachos and fries are to die for and then the wings come....and ahhhh, your in Wing Heaven!! I travel about an hour to get there - but its worth every mile!! Keep up the great work guys!!! Pros: Good Food & Great Service Cons: Owners Need To Expand Building more

My absolute favorite wings 9/23/2008

Wings, Suds, and Spuds are my absolute favorite wings anywhere. Although a bit pricey for wings 5 for $4.50, 10 for $8, or 16 for $10.25. Every flavor has the flavor plus buffalo flavor. so when you order ranch, cajun, terryaki etc... They will ask you mild, medium, or hot. The mild is barely hot at all and I do not like hot stuff. My favorite flavor is mild ranch. An order comes with celery (mind you only 2 pieces) You can add extra and its not too much. There is big raves about the fries, but I find them no better than anywhere else. I so feel the wings are expensive, but I treat myself every couple weeks because they are soooo good! Pros: The best wings ever Cons: The price more

Bad service and impolite staff 9/5/2008

My staff and I ordered carry out from the restaurant only to get half the order and the half we did get was mostly spilled inside the containers. When our Guest service agent placed the order the woman taking the order was really rushed and snippy, couldn't even bother to repeat the order. Our driver went to pick up the order and was scolded for being early. When he returned to the hotel only half the order was there and employees who contributed money for there meal went hungry. We notified the manager to let her know and she acted like she could not be bothered and it was our tough luck. We reminded her of the business we send to them and they could of cared less. My advice is to go somewhere that the customers matter and obviousily this isn't the place. more

A terrific place and very consistent! 8/5/2008

WSS is my favorite place to get some great wings and great fries. I stop in with my friend once every week. Its worth the fifteen minute drive everytime. The service is phenomenal and the food is always great. Its sort of hidden in moon township but its one of the best hidden jems i ever came across. Pros: Quality food (wings, fries) and good prices. Cons: Not many but the service very rarely lacks. more

Just winging it! 11/14/2007

Being new in town and loving wings, there was alot of hype going into this restaurant. We ordered the Curly Fries(3.50) with Cheese(1.50), 18 chicken wings(10.00), Hamburger(5.00) with Lettuce, tomato, and onions(1.00), and two cokes. The curly fries with cheese came out first...Delicious (only thing...otherwise the rating would have been 1 star)! Then the Hamburger...the bun was cold, the burger looked microwaved, and the tomato was grainy...How can you mess up a burger? FINALLY, the wings came out. we order hot buffalo and hot teriyaki..both tasted like hot buffalo. The wings were drenched in sauce, yet were still very hard and very dry...for the wait and the hype, the wings were AWFUL! Pros: Curley Fries with Cheese Sauce...$5.00 Cons: Everything on the menu except the Pros more

oh so wonderful 5/11/2006

i live in moon township. its def. worth a trip for there wings/frenchfries/salad. best i've ever had. although, i would probably recommend take out. parking is horrible. and its a real small place. we usually try to go in a big group. and end up taking up half of the dining area. Pros: good food, great food Cons: parking, seating more

The Best 2/16/2006

During the 90's, I travelled frequently to Pittsburgh. The exterior of this place wouldn't attract anyone, but these are, without question, the best wings I've ever had (yes, I've been to Buffalo). I could list a handful of places around the U.S. that could make a case for #2, but nobody is as good as Wings Suds and Spuds. This place sets the standard. more

French Fries 8/8/2005

By far the greatest french fries in the world. Get 1/2 pound of fries for 3.50, then on the table get ketchup and vinegar. Wow the best fries ever. more

wings, suds & spuds 8/19/2003

best dang cajun wings ever. fries ain't too shabby, either. Pros: wings, suds, spuds, what more do you need Cons: parking sucks more

HOT, MEDIUM, OR MILD 7/25/2003

Wings Suds and Spuds is a great place to go for wings. They make them in so many differnet flavors and heats that if difficult to choose the one you want. The curly fries are the best and I recommend cheese sauce with them. If you don't care for wings, don't worry they have kick ass salads and soups. Pros: Great Food, Great Beer, Great Fries Cons: Waiting/Table Seating more

Walk to from Airport Motels 6/18/2003

The first item in the name may be wings, but the ""Spuds"" are worth the trip. Ask for the Buffalo Chips to be extra crisp. Add the white vinegar. Truely tasteful. The half pound of fries is great with the cheese. The salads are tremendous. The wings are good, but nothing spectacular. But still worth the trip. The beer, Rolling Rock on tap. And the beer is extra cold. Several beers on tap. The plates are paper and the silver ware is plastic. Would be so much nicer if this were to change. Pros: Spuds, both varities, Cold beer/RR on tap, Entire menu of food Cons: Location, Paper plates, Plastic "silverware" more

Best wings in the Burg 11/27/2002

If you love chicken wings you must come to Moon Township. The best wings in the Pittsburgh area are here. Although the restaurant is small and sometimes you need to wait. Wings, Suds, and Spuds has the best wings and varieties. W,S, & S has a small menu and small bar, but is great place to get hot wing and a cold brew. Buffalo and garlic are my favorites but they have many different flavors. They out do Quaker Steak and Lube at taste and portion. Don't forget to try their fries and buffalo chips and Chicken soup. Pros: Great wings, Reasonably priced Cons: Limited tight parking, Somewhat crowded more

Wings-n-dat 8/21/2002

Wings Suds and Spuds has the best wings around, hands down. There is an ample variety of wings to chose from on the menu, which is reasonably priced (btw). I first dined at WSS in 1988 (shortly after it initially opened) and again in 94. WSS is always packed (testament to their excellent wings). Sadly, I no longer reside in the Pittsburgh area and do miss WSS. I may have to stop by next time I visit the 'burgh. more
