Ive been to all the wine bars in Houston, and I gotta tell ya Winetopia is by far the best Wine Bar in town. I will not even get into their amazing wine list yet. The service you get from Steven and KP is rare nowadays. As soon as we walked in we were immediately greeted by Steven, Winetopia's manager/wine-tender/wine expert, and KP Winetopia's other manager who is just as knowledgeable.
Steven and KP both came right up to me and my friends and introduced themselves and began explaining personally to all of us about their wines and the concept of Winetopia. The ambiance when you come in is so inviting and soothing that you almost automatically feel like your in your own private cellar. The beautiful arched seating next to racks of wine, and the soft ambient light really give you that cellar-like environment. The exquisite granite bar sits in-front of this gorgeous cascading waterfall.
Steven walked me though the wines and explained how everything was structured and I proceeded to discover that this has to be one of the most amazing if not the most amazing wine selections I have ever come across in this town! There were only a couple of wines that I recognized however for the most part I could not recognize any of the wine they had. It was like discovering a whole new world! I had so many questions and both KP and Steven were quick to answer all my questions and even let us pick out our own flights.
We each chose a different set of flight as to allow us to all try 25 different wines for only $15 a flight. Every single one of the wines we truly awesome!!! I have never before tasted that number of wines picked randomly and have liked every single one. There were even wines that I know I would have never thought I would like such as this Brachetto from Italy that was only $26 a bottle and it blew my mind. I am not one who like sweet wine however I had to admit that that Brachetto was tasty and you better believe that it was among one of many wines I took home with me.
The most amazing thing about Winetopia's wine selection is that there is truly something for EVERYONE! It doesn't matter if you know absolutely nothing about wine or if your a certified wine sommelier such as myself. The selection, pricing, and service is like none other I highly recommend any and everyone to go and check them out! They even let us bring in our own food from Bisto Don Camilio right down the street. Nina the nice young waitress came and brought us plates and napkins and made sure we needed and wanted for nothing,
I don't know what more I can say about my new home away from home. I hope to see you there...
