If you live in Charlotte, and you haven't heard of this place then you've probably been under a rock or spending WAY too much time at the Bank (like I have). My friends have been telling me about this place for months, but this past weekend was my first time in. \r \r It is honestly one of the coolest retail concepts I have ever seen. The design is second to none. It's very hip and modern. Basically, it's like the Apple Store for wine buyers. The prices are amazing too. When I first walked in I expected it to be expensive (based on the look and feel), but was ecstatic when I saw that almost all of the wines visible were under $25-$30. They also took me to the back room for more expensive bottles when I said that I needed something for my father's birthday. They have some total Cherries back there as well. I loved it. \r \r I tasted wines of their tasting machines (you HAVE to see it to believe it) and ended up buying a baker's dozen -- 12 for me and 1 for my Dad. \r \r I have nothing left to say other than you just have to see and experience this place to believe it. What can I say? I saw the winestore. sign on the corner of Sharon and Colony when I was on my way to the Harris Teeter to pick up a couple of bottles for a dinner party. I thought I'd try something new. Next thing I knew I walked out with a case of wine! The concept is amazing, the customer service is top-notch, and allowing me to try before I buy on the tasting machine is exactly what a wine novice like me needed. \r They have a lot of cool wines that I've never seen before, and the staff educated me on each grape, region, food pairing, etc... Without question, the best place to buy wine in Charlotte! This is exactly the type of store that Charlotte needs, and I'm so glad to find it in the new SouthPark shopping center. I'm a huge fan of drinking wine, but admitttedly don't know much about it and am always intimidated to walk into a wine store. That's all changed now. I've been in 3 times already and have already found some new favorites! The selection is fantastic and the prices are absolutely affordable. Great customer service ethic--I learn something every time I go in, the guys are so helpful. And I now impress my friends with my obscure selection of great, inexpensive wines. But above all else, its a really fun place to shop. The wine tasting machine is super fun, and the layout and store design create a unique experience. There's nothing else like it here. This place rocks. Although its located in a hot Southpark location, you would never know by the prices. Shoppers can use the kiosk to figure out the right wine with whatever meal is being served. You can even taste the wines first using coolest wine tasting machine I've ever seen. Best part is that the store stocks very carefully selected inexpensive wines that don't sacrifice taste and quality. I'm a wine idiot, but after a few visits to the store I can actually hold my own in conversation with experts. Thanks for a great experience winestore. I'll be back for sure. Cool store, inviting atmosphere, fantastically affordable wine and really nice, helpful staff. Anyone who tries it will love it and never shop anywhere else after visiting winestore! more

Finally! A Winestore that you can just zip into, find the wine you need for the occassion you're off too. No fuss! I stopped by on the way to the Pops in the Park right there at South Park Mall with my Aunt. Rather than walking into a shop with a million wines and no clue as to what to buy-- we were able to try several pours from this fascinating wine-machine, and read the quick tip info next to the bottles as to what would go well with our meal. I'm so glad you're in the neighborhood. Congratulations to the Winestore guys! more

My husband and I were in Charlotte this weekend and found the coolest winestore. We loved the concept of the store ""you are the expert"" as we all have different taste for wine. Here you could taste 16 different wines and narrow your choices. The selection was so wonderful in the store shelves with helpful hints and explanations of the wines that we got many bottles of different wines to try at home! The prices are so affordable as wine should be but not lacking in quality. The store design is so welcoming and easy to navigate that it makes the whole process quick and easy. They must have worked hard to have found all these great labels from all over the world. Also they were helpful in the selection process!! I felt like they were listening as most winestores do not....I will be back, alot. Here's to the Winestore. that finally got what we all need!!
