The Wine Cellar may be mostly underground but the food, service and atmosphere are out of this world. Every time I visit the Wine Cellar I find a new best ever. delicious pasta & seafood (fisherman's..lemon prawns) ....good wine.. don't order the bbq ribs.. decent pricing. our waitor wasn't very good.. bread was okay. nice ambience..dim lights and setting = romantic dinner.. pretty noisy.. hard to have conversation without repeating what you said twice. despite the minuses i recommend this restaurant.. Great Dessert and Patio 7/26/2002

We recently had dessert on the Wine Cellar patio, it was beautiful! Chocolate fondue at a table for 2, with the stars, candlelight and torches for the romantic effects. Granted, the weather was a fabulous warm night, but the Wine Cellar patio certainly added glamour to a great night. We will be back for more! EXCELLENT ALL AROUND 6/23/2002

I recently enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Wine Cellar located in Old Town Los Gatos. My have things changed. An amazing remodel has been done to this old style restaurant. Guess, it may only be a Friday nite case. The place was loud, I mean quite loud. Definately not recommended to take your significant other on a quite candle light dinner ... but two thumbs up if you are looking for good food in a great ambience. Service is not anything exceptional more

Only for the best 5/27/2002

Its about time someone opened a restaurant that serves outstanding food and service. This is a restaurant that if you didn't know better, you would think that you were in Tuscany. The wine selection is excellent along with their European champagnes. Their daily specials are always extraordinary. If you get a chance to eat here don't forget dessert. The owners give their patrons the special touch (hands on) needed in running such a fabulous restaurant. In fact their entire staff should get an award for excellent service. more
