I hired Richard after several years of his urging me to retain him. He seems friendly, attentive and smart when you first meet him. He convincingly represented his knowledge in this matter as special and unique, when in fact it turned out to be incomplete. He failed to follow my simple instructions with regard to an important element of the case, and then denied it despite me having proof of delivery of those instructions in writing. He lost the case and despite his assurances that we would ""work things out"" if he lost, he billed me an enormous fee, several times my net worth, when in fact the winning side had a total bill less than half mine. He then took me to court over the bill and also told me I was blackmailing him and threatened legal action against me when I offered to settle for about half his billed fee, the same fee the winning side was billed. Needless to say, this has been among the worst professional experiences in my career, and I've been around. Avoid this attorney at all costs.
