Wilson, Kay L, Dds - Associates In Pediatric Dental

We had just moved to the area and were looking for a pediatric dentist. We saw Dr. Wilson's ad and made an appointment. That was in 2001 and we have been going ever since. The staff is very friendly and the office atmosphere is designed just for kids. Our children have both had cleft lip and palate repair and Dr. Wilson has been very good about explaining where we are in the process and what comes next. I would highly recommend her. more

We were pleasantly surprised to have had such a wonderful experience, despite the care that was initially anticipated for my son. His only complaint was that his lips were "soft" from the anesthetic, but reiterated time and again that he never experienced any pain. He's now looking forward to his 6 month follow up appointment so that he may again wear the sun glasses, grab a toy, and receive a new tooth brush and tooth paste. Thanks Dr. Kay and Staff! more

I was very impressed with the receptionist, the dental hygenist, and Dr. Wilson. They really made my son feel confortable and I think he actually had fun, aside from the brief cleaning part. What 2 year old would like that though? I would recommend Dr. Wilson to all of my friends. more

I took my son to Dr. Wilson after having a horrible experience with another pediatric dentist. I was very nervous and hoping we would not have to go through another nightmare with my son. She was absolutely WONDERFUL. She let me sit with him the whole time. She took her time with us and explained everything. I never felt rushed and she truly cares about the patient! more

Our family has been coming to Dr. Wilson for dental care for many years. I like how we are always seen on time. We are a very busy family and I would not like to have to spend time sitting in the waiting room because the staff is behind. We appreciate that the staff values our time! more

Doctor Wilson and staff are wonderful with the little and big ones. All three of my children have been seeing them since they were 2 and 3 years old (the oldest is now 11 yrs.) Not once have there been any tears or fear of going to the dentist. In fact they love it. My oldest practically begs to go! They staff are so gentle. For the smaller children, they introduce the dental tools, give the tools cute names (like Mister Tickles) and let the children touch them to ensure that the tools are safe. My 3 year old loves it! more

My children's visits with Dr. Wilson have been extremely professional--on time, treatments clearly explained, nice clean office and friendly staff to greet and interact with you. I'd recommend her to others for sure. more

This dental office is so good that our daughter decided at the age of 5 that she wants to be a dentist. At 9, she still does. The staff is kind and professional -- and we feel she has received excellent treatment there. We adopted her at the age of 1 and started seeing Dr. Wilson when our daughter was 2 to see if there were any dental issues that might have been exacerbated in the orphanage. Dr. Wilson knew exactly what I was talking about. Her techs are amazing, kind, warm people who have a wonderful way with kids. more

Everything from setting up the appointment to coming in for fillings was way better than I could have imagined. I highly recommend Dr. Wilson to anyone. We will make the 45 minute drive just to have services done with Dr. Kay and her staff. We already have our next appointments scheduled more

My son went to see Dr. Wilson for his first dentist visit at 1 year and it was perfect. The staff was patient and calm, they took their time, answered all my questions without making me feel stupid or rushing through the answers. It was comfortable for both myself and my son. more

I took my shy 4 year old to Dr. Wilson for the first time. They were very good at explaining to my son everything that was happening and doing everything quickly. I expected him to be kicking and screaming, but the staff kept him at ease and there were no tears. more

We are so pleased and proud to be a patient at Dr. Wilson's practice. My son was very fearful as a 3 year old and going to get a haircut or go to the dentist was a chore. Dr. Wilson has totally changed my son's perception of going to the dentist. Now he is five years old and says that he wants to be a dentist when he grows up. Previous bad experience dentistry (not Dr. Wilson)had caused my 6 year old grandson to scream and kick when he had to go to the dentist. Upon hearing about Dr. Wilson from my dentist office, I made him an appointment. Dr. Wilson said he was very nervious and scared. With her guidiance and discussion of his necessary treatment We were both concerned of his mental state of seeing the dentist. After the cleaning, he said it was fun and tickled. He has since had two teeth pulled, several fillings and now has spacers. He asks when his next appointment is. Dr. Wilson and her office is OUTSTANDING. more

Dr. Wilson is professional and competent. She is available on the weekends for urgencies/emergencies, and her friendly and professional staff does a very good job. Before we went the first time, many years ago now, I had been "warned" that she requires kids to go in on their own. First of all, this is not entirely true; she is quite open to parents coming in, but what I have found is that all my kids prefer to go in by themselves as Dr. Wilson suggests. I have 4 children, and 2 of them have required extensive, and at times painful, work. They have been able to do it all on their own because Dr. Wilson and her staff are very good about reading each child and his/her needs, dialoguing, using NO2, explaining and even bringing in mom if the child requests it. They are very attentive to the individual child. My kids are now 12, 8, 6 and 3, and we have been coming since my oldest was 5. I would also add that Dr. Wilson is very kind to parents who may not be doing the best job with their child's teeth. She is not judgmental or mean, just very supportive and kind to parents as much as to kids. I have appreciated that very much. I cannot say enough good, really, about this office. A good dentist can be very hard to find....we just pray Dr. Wilson will stay around for a long time! more

Both of my children, 4 and 7, enjoy their visits to Dr. Wilson's office. Everyone who works there is very kind and professional and obviously enjoys working with children. Everyone works very hard to make sure the children are seen promptly and the fear is taken out of "going to the dentist." My son has had more extensive treatments done in the office and they were done so well that he experienced the most minimal discomfort and he has no fear of any procedure there. I would highly recommend taking your children here for the best possible dental experience. more
