HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Stay away from this place. I walked into their building in January and talked to the receptionist about making an appointment for an eye exam for my son. She checked to make sure they took our insurance and after reviewing everything she said "Yes, we take your insurance". We set the appointment and a week later we went to the appointment and he had his exam. After the exam, he was to be fitted for glasses and at this point we were told they had made an error on their part and that they in fact do NOT accept our insurance. The employee said he would give us the prescription so we could go elsewhere to get frames at a different location and then said "If you get a bill in the mail, bring it to the office and we will take care of it since it was an error on our part". He kept reassuring us that it was their mistake. Sure enough, I got a bill in the mail for the exam and I brought it to their office yesterday to discuss exactly what I had been told. I was told that I would still have to pay the bill because the employee should have checked with someone first before he told me that and that he no longer works there. So basically, this company does not care about their patients and they only care about money. It's not my responsibility to know what your employees should and should not say or do. I only know what I was told and if they practiced good customer service, they would honor what I was told. I thought the doctor might feel differently when they talked with him about the situation but apparently he only cares about money and not keeping their word. I am extremely disappointed as I thought this was a good office to keep going back to but you can clearly see that I am wrong. more

I would like to start out by saying that my comments will most likely sound biased. I thought that Wilson, OD was a god send. There are not too many employers out there who will hire a pregnant woman. My wife and I have had a lot of bad luck the past few years, I am a Hoosier veteran always gone for military reasons, we have lost 2 children and have had very few decent job opportunities because of the economy. My wife recently lost her job with Wal-Mart because our doctor gave her work restrictions, this forced her to file for unemployment with the state because I don’t make enough with my current job. This is where Wilson OD came into our picture. At first it seemed like this was going to be an excellent employer, my wife did not hide the fact that she was pregnant and was still offered a job. But after 2 weeks of working with them she was let go, the reason being because she was not friendly enough and did not know a lot of their customers on a more personal level. I personally do not think that it was because she was pregnant but I also know how the world works and that most employers will not say that to an employee in fear of all the consequences involved with admittance. We both thought that “well what can you do we tried” and my wife tried to get back on unemployment from when she was with Wal-Mart, all the unemployment office had to do was contact Wilson, OD to verify her cause of termination. We got a call back from the unemployment office some time later to tell us that Wilson, OD stated they let my wife go because she was rude and was disrespectful to their customers, there comments completely floored us! My wife was never given any such warning, documentation, nor was made aware that she had an attitude problem. My wife and I are now in an extremely disadvantages position with a child on the way and hardly enough income to pay the bills. I do not recommend Wilson, OD there dishonest remarks not only will affect my wife and I, but our soon to be child. more
