BEWARE OF DISHONEST SERVER 2/4/2012

Food was great; our server was not very friendly. After handing us our bill, he asked if we were Landry's Select card members. We said yes and he said just give him the card with our payment. Not believing we had earned a reward, we did that; giving him cash and telling him to keep the change. He returned very hastily, handed us the card and receipt and took off very abruptly. After looking at the receipt, we learned we had a $25 reward. FELIPE kept the extra $25 we saved as well as the generous tip we left. My husband did not want to make an issue of it so we left but I felt others should know of the dishonesty. more

Fine seafood dining is the best I can say about these folks as it says it all. The mahi-mahi was fresh and grilled to perfection. The halibut was perfectly fried and the accompanying crab meat was succulent and divine. The risotto was my first and everything I had imagined it should be: creamy, flavorful, buttery. The crab-stuffed shrimp and crab cake were indescribably delicious. The textures, flavors, smells, and presentations were pure gourmet, and proof that fine food is good food on Galveston Island. Pros: I'd eat slop if it had lump crab like that on it. Cons: Trainee waitresses take a little more patience. more

Great Service 3/9/2009

The service was outstanding. But as someone who doesn't eat seafood, I was not real crazy about the food. Steaks were outrageously priced, as well as the chicken. Left the place still hungry, after having a meal of chicken, rice and some kind of french green beans that were not fully cooked. Over all, the restaurant was very clean, nice appearance, great service. Not the place for someone who doesn't eat seafood, nor someone who doesn't want to pay $30 for a steak. Always wonderful food & service 8/21/2007

I have eaten here many times and its always like a special occasion even if its not. Although I love all the food I think I'm partial to the softshell crab or maybe salmon. I fact I'm eating here tonight! more

I'D DRIVE 300 MILES... 4/25/2006

April 21 & 22, 2006, I ate noon meals at Willie G's. Shrimp platter was excellent. Seafood salad platter was excellent. Really fresh food. more
