Resident 6/19/2014

I have lived here for the past three years and have really enjoyed it. Although I will be moving soon due to relocation, Williamsburg has been a great place to call home while I was attending school at Purdue. It is close enough to campus to walk or ride the city bus, which is free with your school ID. What drew me here was that they do not have any breed or weight restrictions on pets. There have been a few situations where I needed to involve maintenance, but they were extremely fast and very pleasant to deal with. If you're looking for a place that is a great location to basically everything in town, I suggest checking out Williamsburg on the Wabash Apartments. more

Great College Apartment 6/11/2014

I've lived here for the past year. While it is not luxury apartment, it is a great place to live while going through college. They are one of the only apartments in the area with no breed and weight restrictions. It's also extremely convenient to walk to campus, and on the evenings and weekends it's a quick walk to the bars on the levee and bars on campus. Maintenance is extremely quick, they usually comes fix the problem within same day. If it's an emergency request they are usually there within minutes no matter what time of day or night it is. Overall, it's a great place to live here during the college years, I plan on staying here for the next two years for the price, pets and proximity to everything. more

Pretty good for a college apartment. 4/26/2010

When my sister, best friend, and I lived there in college we had a good experience overall. The rent was reasonable, though the pet fee was pretty steep. The apartment was a little outdated, but worked for a college apartment. However, one of the bedrooms did not have a vent for air conditioning, so we had to complain until we got a window unit put in for my sister. Our building also had problems at times with the bathtubs leaking into apartments below them, and our smoke detector would go off any time that we cooked. We had a few issues with management, but generally had a good relationship with them overall. However, we were put in a building that had a lot of college students that liked to party, and they would regularly harrass us, so that was frustrating. I did like that they provided bags to pick up pets' messes, though people rarely used them, and that they provided bins for us to recycle. more

Passable 11/13/2005

The place used to have good rates (my friends got $430/mo for a 2-bedroom apartment, with 1/2 off summer months), but they've been hiking them up indecently. While the location is nice - by the river and forest, great grounds for pets - the fee for a pet is exorbitant. Short-term leases (6 months, no shorter) are also extremely expensive. The landlord comany is trying to explain these by making the apartments "nicer" - which means they are adding a gameroom, instead of renovating the older apartments, and that also allowed them to have the pool closed for half of this year. The office is staffed by airheads who don't know anything - they just sign the leases. If you want any problem solved, contact the headquarters directly. The best route, though, is not to live there in the first place. more

Greedy landlord, complex prone to flooding 11/1/2005

The landlords of this place are incredibly greedy and constantly try to raise prices for apartments. Keeping pets is so expensive, that you'd wish you bought a Mercedes instead. The buildings on the river are also in danger of flood every time Wabash level goes up. The laundry situation is awful - the laundry automata are outsorced, so you have to buy a $3 card, which is a pain to load, breaks often, and then you have to send it in somewhere for a refund... Which is never ever got for the 4 cards I sent. more
