Repair people on Commission??? 11/13/2011

I had a very similar experience to the other bad review above--- Got a very high estimate and high pressure tactics (from a repair guy!). Still had to pay their $95 service call fee, but got a second estimate from elsewhere that was WAY below Williams, so I still came out way ahead, and avoided a several unnecessary fees more

Williams Comfort Air review 11/9/2011

The Williams technician came out and was very professional and curtious. He answered all of my questions promptly and with expert advise. My furnace/air Conditioner was purchased by the previous owner, but they kept the 15 year warrenty on the unit. The staff are all friendly and helpfull. I would recommend Williams to all my family and friends. more

We have used Williams for almost 12 years and their service people are very professional and helpful. They never push anything on you but explain the problem and the potential solutions. We have been very happy with their service and recommend them to anyone! more

Integrity. Professionalism. Honest. Thorough work. 10/21/2011

In Real Estate business we deal with many, many contractors on a daily basis. We met Williams Comfort Air through their business partner Larry Metzler Plumbing on a job one of our sellers had contracted. We were so impressed with companies that we use them regularly today. Most recently, WCA technician Michael quoted an air duct cleaning job and noted the furnace was not working on one of our vacant listings. He let me know and steer me in right direction for resolving. Michael went above and beyond, much like the other members of his company's staff. Thanks for making the job your priority, not the money. You will go far because of your value of integrity and wonderful customer service. Many of our staff members and co-agents now use Williams Comfort Air and Metzler Plumbing for their personal jobs as well as our work-related ones as we continue to pass along the great review! Total scam ... run the other way! 10/17/2011

We totally got scammed into buying a new system and then were given "special financing" that ironically no longer existed once our system was installed. Of course, once we look at what we have our documentation doesn't state anything about financing and I am sure it did but we didn't get a copy. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! more

Terrific service 10/14/2011

Joe did a furnace check up and discovered our humidistat had never been properly connected to the humidifier by a previous company we used and subsequently left. I was very happy with Joe's thoughtful discovery and correction solution, as well as the cost. We're grateful to him for his professionalism and expertise! Thank you! more

Thorough Inspection 10/11/2011

just bought a five year home and found leak in basement. Unsure if water was coming from shower above or foundation. Technician arrived on time and did a very thorough inspection and explained possible source, which didn't involve plumbing. He was here over an hour and recommended possible solutions to foundation issue. We paid $79 service fee but came away with good solution without being oversold on any additional services. more

Don't call them. 8/15/2011

Williams came out to look at my 6 year old air conditioner. They said it had a bad capacitor and a bad fan motor. Cost to fix $988. I declined and called APPEL in Carmel. They came out, replaced the capacitor and there was zero problem with the fan motor. Cost of fix $200. Now Williams will not give me my $94 back. They claim it is not their fault that they were wrong and I should have let them fix it. Do not call them. They will lie to get more money from you. more

Scam 8/4/2011

Wish I had read these reviews before I called them. Could have saved myself the $94 service fee. Technician was pushy and tried to get me to agree to $1400 in repairs (on a 5 year old system) plus some random inspection fees, on top of the service call fee. I said no, I'll sleep on it. Are the technicians on commission? He also kept throwing the warranty term around like it would somehow scare me... If you dont replace part A, I wont warranty part B. And I have to replace both even though one is good or nothing is warrantied... Sorry, I didnt fall for it more

Can't recommend 5/25/2011

Williams tech was friendly and 'seemed' to be knowledgeable, but recommended $2300 repair for a $50 fix (got a 2nd opinion and THAT tech knew what he was doing). more

No Guarantee from Williams Comfort Air 4/21/2011

Don't hire this company! William's installed a geothermal system that wasn't sufficient to heat my home. I hired an independent energy audit company that spelled out to them that the system was 3 ton's too small. They have no guarantee and flat out refuse to remove the system and return my money. My guess is they have never actually removed a unit when they screwed up! They just wait for you too sue them and then drag it through the court system while you freeze in the winter. more

Bought and Not the same great company 12/5/2010

They used to be a good company and someone bought them. I had a service person come to my house who would not stop trying to sell me services. It was very rude. I am switching. more

I have a friend in the business and I told him the prices and he gave me the actual cost of a new unit and it was 65% over the actual cost. He then explained that the service techs get a spiff (comission)for turning you over to the sales team. They don't make comission for repairing your equipment. more

service call / push to make a sale of new unit 7/6/2010

I was told ac units coils were bad after a 10 min look. Recommended replacing entire unit since it was 15 years old. Sales guy came next day was very nice. qutoed me 54 options ranging from $4k for just the ac to $8k for entire ac/furn that seemed high to me and I wanted a couple other estimates. salesman got indignant with me for not signing on the spot. I had a 2nd service repair unit next day for $225.00 Coils were fin just need a good cleaning and some freon. I will never trust this company again...neither should you. Pros: nice guys Cons: did not truuely check out my ac unit more

Good all the way around 4/24/2009

The installers from Williams Comfort Air did an outstanding job on my installation. Their work was neat and organized. They were fast, they left my home in good shape and took all of their waste materials with them. Really a first class installation. I was also quite surprised by how quiet the Carrier heat put and variable speed air handler was. I am pleased Pros: Excellent Installation Job Cons: None so far more
