Wildfire offers exquisite food with an elegant atmosphere. Their chops and seafood are both excellent, as well as the service. I have been a regular for years and I always leve satisfied. more

I really don't understand what all the excitement is about regarding lettuce entertain you restaurants. I get the feeling that a lot of the glowing reviews are written by LEY employees. The Wildfire atmosphere is uncomfortable. The music is very loud, making it near impossible to converse with others. I really like jazz, but they went out of their way to pick some of the worst big band tunes ever produced. The tables are packed in really close to each other, making it very difficult to sit down and get up without disturbing the other diners around you. As for the food, I was disappointed. Their 'crusts' are used to cover up their insipid, chemically tenderized, low quality beef. A great steak doesn't need a crust! Overall, I felt like I was in an upscale Applebee's. If you have truly discernible tastes, pay a few dollars more and go to a real steakhouse. If you ate McDonald's for lunch, then this place is right up your alley. And if someone is dragging you here, be sure to get drunk before hand! Pros: can't think of any Cons: Loud, pretentious, over priced, and definitely overrated more

August 22, 2007, 6 pm, was the worst experience. After 1 hour of waiting we have to wait 1:30 more. The opposite was told in the beginning. The hostess and manager, tried to make all kind excuses for their mess-ups. We left. Pros: Location Cons: Worst Service more

Wildfire always makes the shortlist of dinner places in the suburbs. It is an extremely busy place, but with a reservation (good luck getting one for a Saturday night, btw) I've generally been seated promptly. Parking is a mess. Using the inexpensive valet service is a good idea. And, as another reviewer notes, it is generally a loud place. Tables are relatively close to each other. I like getting a booth.\r \r Despite that mixed preface, I highly recommend this place. The food makes up for a wait, if you have one. The filet medallion trio is always on the list of specials. I love their horseradish crust. I liked their NY strip and shrimp combo, but they don't offer that special any longer unfortunately. \r \r I like their sides as well, especially the wild rice. While getting into this place at night is a nightmare, sometimes worth the wait. They have very consistent, great food. From the filets with toppings (choose your favorite) to the chopped salad to the martini trio, this restaurant hits a home run. this is our all-time favorite restaurant and I am very picky. The service is awesome--very attentive without annoying. The food has always been great. The blue-cheese encrusted filet and chopped salad are must haves. The martini's are great too. The seafood is fresh and tasty. Make your reservations way in advance thought.
