great business... great employees... great hunt!

Worst

I have a question for anyone that belongs to Wilderness Unlimted. How may members do they have ? How much does it cost ? Where is the property located in Caifornia ?

My family and I have been members for 8 years. I read some of the previous reviews and can't believe want I read. Both my boys have taken deer and pig, along with the big game I have taken. My daughter doesn't hunt, but loves to fish and has caught lots and lots of fish. We couldn't have asked for much more than that. \r \r I mentor a Junior Deer Hunt every year and find this experience very rewarding. WU Foundation does a GREAT JOB with their Junior Hunts and Summer Camp!!!\r \r Staff is very helpful and I have no complaints!!!\r \r And I know that the owners do not hunt ranches before they open to the membership.\r \r Hope this is helpful and hope to see you in the Great Outdoors!!! more

I can't speak for the membership aspect of Wilderness Unlimited but I did do my hunters education course with them so that I could get my hunting license and they were great. \r \r My instructor was Dennis and he made the 4 hour class fun and interactive. Not forgetting to mention that I passed the 100 question test. \r \r If you are looking to get your hunting license for the first time, call these guys to get it done! more

Was a member a while back and then tried a few low priced clubs and hunted public lands -WHATA JOKE! no game just hundreds of hunters fighting for a spot. Wilderness Unlimited is a great deal with great hunting and fishing properties. more

This is by far the best club in California! I am a new member and on my first California deer hint I bagged a nice Buck in the first ten minutes! Great hunt! I am prepping now for a Black Bear hunt! more

Mike Drozen has to be the worst sales rep on the planet. He shows up 25 mins late and offers no apology. My wife and I then sit and listen to him drone on and on, and when I do offer feedback or observations I feel as if I am being dismissed somehow. The evening ends with his being mad that I would not commit to giving him any money what-so-ever and wanting to discuss membership with my wife. He tells me flat out that if I don't call him and apply within 48 hrs that membership will be full up and closed to me and my family. He then turns his back on me and my wife and makes a bee line for the door. Never even gives me the common courtesy of a thank you or a handshake. If this is their way of conducting business with prospective new members, I would hate to see how they treat a member with a problem. more

Thanks to Ron for scheduling me for the Los Gatos Creek Ranch Turkey hunt . I was unfamiliar with the Ranch but I got one after 4 setups and a lot of climbing! It was a blast! This is my first Turkey other than an Eastern bird so I am unable to tell if it is a Rio or a Merriams.....Thanks again Ron! more

Just got back from the best camping experience at Lake Margaret. Even though the lake was low, beauty still surrounded the lake. It was quiet and restful. We had nearly the entire area to ourselves OVER the 4th of July. Unbelievable. The only other group was a family having their annual reunion. They were great people. We saw deer, bald eagles, osprey and geese. Even hooked a few fish! Thanks WU. So glad I'm a member. more

I took two friends to Trion. Ryan had only been fishing twice, on the ocean. He is very persistent. After casting in the same spot for half the day he caught only one fish. It was 21 inches long and weighed 8 pounds! more
