I miss Wildberries 3/7/2008

I miss Wildberries. Now that I've moved out of Arcata, there are no grocery stores like it around me. They have great organic foods and vegetarian options and their food is always fresh. They are slightly more expensive than a regular grocery store like Safeway, but I never felt like they were that much more. The closest thing to Wildberries I have near me is Whole Foods and they are significantly more expensive.\r \r Wildberries is a nice organice, fresh food grocery store that isn't too expensive. more

The only grocery and deli you'll need 11/13/2005

This place truely has one stop shopping for the health conscious. Their deli has everything, including fresh made soups daily and seasonal specialties. They carry a full selection of local wines and beer and they have a bulk foods section that cannot be beat. Their produce department is the best and has a huge variety of organic choices, and don't forget the fresh salad bar. Also there is a Ramones on the premises for coffee and desserts! PROS: They have it all including a coffee shop, juice bar, toiletries and more CONS: none! more

Expensive but usually worth it 9/11/2005

Wildberries provides a large amount of organic foods, but their prices far exceed those of national chains such as safeway. The quality of the meat and vegetables there, as well as the smoothie bar and bakery warrants the extra prices, but for general groceries, let alone beer, one is better off at Safeway. more

The bulk foods department features over 500 choices, ranging from flour, rice, beans, cereals, pastas to dried fruits, nuts, spices, coffee, herbs, oils, bulk shampoos, creams and soaps. Wildberries Marketplace features a produce department which offers organically grown regional specialties. The supermarket also offers dairy/frozen items, meat/seafood, beer wine/spirits, health supplements, floral items and groceries of conventional/national brands. It houses a juice bar and Ramone's Bakery & Cafe..
