I don't know the circumstances of the people that have a very wrong opinion of Debbie or the other workers at Becky's. Maybe you've experienced so much heartache over your condition of why you went into the store? I don't know. Debbie and Pauline are actually the reasons why I've continued my business for nearly 7 years. They, especially Debbie, are the most compassionate people who sympathize with the conditions women are brought to the store for. My situation makes me cry thinking about it let alone talk about it. When I go to Becky's it's the only place I feel comfortable with myself to be beautiful, unlike other women who have the exciting opportunities to go to a hair salon often. I'm so grateful to Debbie for her empathy, teaching me how to work with my new product, and accepting my condition as that, a condition beyond my control. I'm sorry to those that felt they had a bad experience, but maybe you should look at yourself of what's really bothering you and turn it over to God. Thanks again, Debbie! I'll be back! :) more

Rude and NOT customer friendly 9/19/2011

I agree with the person who said they were rude, but it wasn't just the employee who was rude to me. It was the OWNER!\r \r I bought a wig last year after beginning chemo. It was a darling wig, and I got many compliments. I cared for the wig as instructed, but it started showing some wear after a year. I went back and got another one just like it. The trouble was it was not just like the previous wig. The first wig could be fine tuned in its sizing because it had velcro straps. After a couple of days, I had it perfectly sized to fit my head. Unfortunately, the replacement wig didn't have the velcro. It had hooks that you could latch in predetermined hoops. It was either too loose or too tight. \r \r I called to tell them of the problem. The result: sorry, we can't [read: won't] allow a return or exchange. I believe it was incumbent upon them as the professionals in the wig business to inform me of the change in construction. They said there was nothing they could [read: would] do. I said, ""So I'm stuck with a wig I can't use."" The employee said, ""You could say it that way if you wanted to."" I asked to speak to the owner who was standing nearby. I could hear their discussion and the sarcasm concerning me. The employee came back on the phone and informed me that the owner refused to speak to me.\r \r CONSIDER YOURSELVES WARNED! These people were lovely to me when I first went in last year. However, they did suggest a lot of things that I might want to purchase, but I'm glad I didn't. They insisted I'd need a little elasticized thing that you wrap around your head to hold the wig in place ($30+). I didn't need it, but they got their $30+ out of me. \r \r These people are NOT professional, and they more

A+ Experience Will become a regular customer! 8/13/2011

8/14/2011 - Went to Becky's today with only an ""idea"" of what I wanted, or thought I wanted. Pauline spent lots of time showing me different styles and colors that would best suit my needs - she was outstanding! Shop clean, well arranged, and first rate staffanf products! Dont judge Beckys by one bad review - do like I did - check it out for yourself. You will be pleased- I promise! Little ole Lady from Pasadena more

RUDE STAFF-DEBBIE 8/1/2011

I am a former satisfied client of Becky's who went through chemo and bought a wig from her 3 years ago. Yesterday I brought in two friends interested in wigs, one a chemo patient and stage 4 cancer patient. As my friend stood at the counter to buy a wig and halo, I asked a sales clerk Debbie if I could try on a gray wig to see how my natural hair color would look. She refused and accused me of just playing around. I told her that was rude, and she ordered me from the store and called the police. They said I had done nothing wrong. We are former teachers and active church members, used no bad language, and were dressed neatly. Debbie needs serious training in people skills if she is to be trusted with Becky's potential customers. We left buying nothing. Robbie is in bed after the ordeal with a serious headache. I wonder if Becky is aware of Debbie's condescension and that she is driving away customers.\r \r \r more
