Poor customer service, lack of consistency. 6/1/2008

My wife and I are regular vegetarian diners. We have patronized Whole World before and enjoyed it. A couple of Saturdays ago we decided to take our kids there for lunch after shopping at the Clintonville farmers' market. First of all, the server seemed dismayed that we brought our children into their establishment. I mean, God forbid that we bring our kids out to eat with us, we even bought them an entree so they weren't just eating things out of our bag. A couple with a child came in right before us, and they got their food within minutes of ordering. We ordered two broccoli burgers and a grilled cheese for the kids to split. The food took longer than 20 minutes to get to our table. The couple that came in ahead of us was leaving before we got our lunch. When it finally did arrive, with no appology or explanation as to why it took so long, it was awful. The burgers were very dry. We've gotten them before and they were very moist and tasty. The ""grilled"" cheese was obviously baked, and not for very long. The cheese was a little sweaty as opposed to melted, and the bread had no crunch to it. I am a professional chef at one of Columbus's top restaurants, and I know that the food should have not taken that long. It's simple food, and there were only two other parties in the restaurant. When we told the server how poor the food was, she seemed not to care, and a management looking type was just sitting on the phone unaware of our comlaint. I may try it again to support a local business, but it will have to be outstanding to get my return business again. Pros: Nice daily specials, colorful artwork Cons: Poor customer service, inconsistent food quality more

Best Sunday Breakfast 7/14/2006

We love to head up to Whole World for Sunday breakfast/brunch. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait for a table, but the food is so satisfying that it is worth it. I love the tofu scramble. We also enjoy their interesting home-made burgers. It's also a nice, simple place to grab an easy dinner after a stressful day. Pros: good street parking, great food Cons: Sundays very crowded more

A nice bit of magic in up and coming Clintonville 3/8/2006

Beautiful woodwork booths and window with an awesome avocado croissant sandwich. Trully addictive! more

Wide Vegetarian Selection 9/4/2002

Certainly not somewhere to go if you are in a hurry and not somewhere to go if you get upset when a restaurant doesn't have everything on the menu actually available, but what they DO have is great. Their pizza toppings are very broad -- come up with an exciting combo. I would also suggest the crispy cucumber sandwich and the side salad with the garlic dressing. Pros: vegetarian more
