Whistle Stop is by far the best toy/hobby/train store in that I've ever been too. Prior to shopping at Whistle Stop I always did my birthday shopping and holiday shopping at toys...

The best hobby shop in Michigan! 1/1/2007

Whistle Stop is by far the best toy/hobby/train store in that I've ever been too. Prior to shopping at Whistle Stop I always did my birthday shopping and holiday shopping at toys r us. Once I visited whistle stop I fell in love and have been a customer for years. My favorite thing is that they offer FREE (yes, free) wrapping. They have a huge variety of paper and decorate it fancy with curly bows. The staff is always very personal and friendly. Also, the store is CLEAN and ORGANIZED. They have the biggest lego collection around and if they don't have it they go out of there way to ensure that you get it in a timely fashion. Shop WHISTLE STOP!!! more

A Great Hobby Store 1/4/2006

Whistle Stop Hobby and Toy Center is the best hobby store around. The store has everything for that hard to buy for inquisitive child or adult. The toys they offer are good quality and unique. They have the largest train selection I have ever seen. The staff is very knowledgeable and the store is amazing. It is a family owned and operated business that I hope will be around for a very long time. more

Whistle Stop is a family run and owned business. I've been a customer with them for many years also. The reason why is excellent customer service. If you are fond of trains, this is a great place to meet other train aficionados. The facility is well-kept and encourage children to play and appreciate trains. The prices are a bit more expensive than chain toy stores, and they emphasize customer satisfaction. more

This is a wonderful place to find anything hobby! The staff is great and friendly. If they don't have it you don't need it. If it's up to date they have it. more

Whistle Stop Hobby & Toy Shop.. the name says it all!! 8/30/2005

I visit Whistle Stop Hobby a couple times a year, mainly during the holiday season when I'm trying to find that perfect gift.. the store is clean and well organzied and they have a very large selection of hard to find toys.. and a lot of hobby related stuff.. the prices seem to be a little high but really they are not, you are paying the price for these hard to find products, that is the bottom line.. the staff is always friendly and hours are reasonable. more

Offers unique and out of the ordinary items! 7/27/2005

Very nice, clean place to shop. Offers hard to find items, usually found in catalogs. Has a train table set up to accomodate kids. Also has a moving train at the ceiling which many are enthralled by. Nice location. Plenty of parking behind the building, as well as to the side. They also do layaway! PROS: local CONS: a bit pricey but worth it if you are looking, and find, a hard to find item more
