for those who don't know what whirlyball is, mix basketball and bumper cars...but instead of a basketball you have a wiffle ball and a scooper. that is a close interpretation of whirlyball. what you may not realize in hearing that is that this is AWESOME! if you don't have nine friends, start making phone calls and go get them, so you can have a full 5 on 5 blast of a good time! more

Interesting sport 3/5/2006

Whirlyball is a mix between lacross and bumper cars. 8 people ride in this arena attempting to hurl whiffle balls at targets on either hands. the bumper car is a bit hard to drive since there is no steering wheel, just a rotatable handle. Great place to take the kids or have a night out with the guys. more

fun fun FUN!!! 3/3/2006

A few years ago, we were invited by friends to join them for *Whirlyball*. I had no idea what to expect, but I was hooked! It is a game involving elements from hockey, lacrosse and polo, and you ride bumper cars. It takes a bit to get the hang of it, but it is hilarious fun with large groups. The Chicago facility has 3 courts and a laser tag game. more
