Best

We just moved to the Bothell area and discovered that there is a What the Pho right by our house. We love it soooo much. We go there usually once a week and we never get sick of...

Worst

Seriously don't know why anyone would eat here. Expensive, not authentic, taste bland. Sure the name is funny but if you really want good bowl of Pho, you'd go to Than Brother. ...

Outrageously bad! 4/20/2016

The soup was salty to the point it was not edible, the meat, which was supposed to be beef brisket was not such, the bowl in which the soup was served was chipped and cracked. The waiter was not attending. They never apologized when we voiced our concerns and dissatisfaction. However they were quick to charge us money for this, and demanded to pay the bill in full, even though we barely touched the soup. They should have remembered that we were there several times before, and we didn't complain those times, so there must have been something wrong this time. Apparently, they didn't care, even when we said we never come back again, and would never recommend it to a friend. They were only after collecting the money. more

Why would you eat here 3/17/2009

Seriously don't know why anyone would eat here. Expensive, not authentic, taste bland. Sure the name is funny but if you really want good bowl of Pho, you'd go to Than Brother. The bubble tea here aren't that great either, they are all powder based. Boba Express at Crossroads are so much better. more

Not bad 7/17/2006

Been here a couple of times, and have been pretty impressed. Its not like being in Vietnam and having the authentic stuff. But not bad more

Not pure Vietnamese tradition 4/10/2006

The pho here is pretty good, but their noodle is too short and cut in many pieces compare to better restaurant. The price and taste were really good, me and my friend had a good times in the restaurant. The location and name really caught our attention, and they have some other good foods beside PHO. more

Psh, Its okay...I guess 3/18/2006

I suspect the reason I came to this restaurant in the first place was the title. Located on the side of the road, in a small business area, is the restaurant of overall average-ness. I would come here if I was in a rush- prices are pretty set, service is absolutely okay BUT the food just cannot compare. In a city like Bellevue, there are much better places to find good Pho. more

decent pho though not cheap 3/13/2006

This small restaurant in a string of businesses along NE 8th Street in Bellevue has pretty good pho. So far my favorite pho has been at Khan Brothers in Capitol Hill, but I think I like this place comes fairly close. The take-out may take a bit of waiting and the price is probably above usual pho costs, but if you’re in this neighborhood (especially with its lack of other great lunch options, I recommend giving a try. It’s an ideal lunch in this cold and damp. more

Don't eat here 9/15/2005

The Vietnamese food here is bland (no flavor) and the prices here are insanely expensive. I paid nearly $10 for a single large bowl of Pho and it didn’t taste good at all. If you want really good pho, go down to Beacon Hill and find a family run establishment where they have Vietnamese writing on their sign outside. It’ll be cheap, maybe a little dirty, but more authentic and tastier. more

Best Eastside Pho, Hands Down 7/15/2005

This place is great. It's clean, modern, the service is great, it's inexpensive, and the food is good. You can get regular or belly-busting-sized portions, but either way you'll leave satisfied. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Bellevue by far. They're generally pretty busy, but there's ample seating. If only there were ample parking. more

  • Welcome to What the Pho! Restaurants

Pho has been described as the "National Dish of Vietnam." At What the Pho! Restaurants, we could not agree more. Our pho broth is a meticulous twelve-hour process. We use fresh, quality beef bones, whole sides of brisket and flank, traditional herbs, aromatic vegetables and skinless chicken breasts to develop our savory broths. Our lengthy process and careful simmering methods develop a unique, lively flavor. Combined with fresh rice noodles, thinly sliced cuts of eye round steak, brisket and flank, book tripe, tendon, fresh squeezed lime, bean sprouts, sliced jalapenos and fragrant basil leaves, a large steaming bowl is hard to resist.

However, our menu does not end there. We also offer a variety of delicious appetizers, flavorful stir-fry dishes and traditional grilled meats with rice and vermicelli noodles. Please peruse our on-line menu and discover what we have to offer.

Thank you for visiting our website, we're always updating so please check back often for the most current information. We look forward to seeing you at one of our locations.

Our parents were among the first Vietnamese political refugees to immigrate to America in the mid-1970's. With not much else besides useless currency from South Vietnam and age-old recipes, they brought Vietnamese food to the Puget Sound area. We have always hoped to continue that tradition. With the opening of What the Pho! in Bellevue, our wish to extend their legacy and our desire to bring Vietnamese food to a new region was realized.

We want to separate ourselves from other Vietnamese Pho restaurants by offering a clean eating environment, modern décor, fast, friendly service, savory food and a focus on the customer. All for a reasonable price.
