Good pizza but bad atmosphere 11/5/2007

I went to Players this weekend and shared a pizza with my boyfriend. We checked it out because we had a coupon (from the Orange County Entertainment Book) and it proved to be a great deal. The pizza tasted good but I didn't like the atmosphere. Pros: Good pizza, Good deal with the coupon Cons: Bad atmosphere more

Great crust, nice staff 11/3/2007

We ordered a large pineapple/pepperoni pizza and the crust was great. The pineapples were sweet and fresh. On a whole, good pizza- not mind blowing like some expensive gourmet places. Their ad in the Orange County entertainment book noted they deliver, but they don't. Beers were 5 a pint on tap. With a coupon, the 18 dollar pizza was a great deal for 9- we enjoyed it. Pros: Well-cooked pizza. Friendly service, outside heated smoking area, close to freeway Cons: overpriced beer, loud crowd more

Players! 8/6/2005

Players is one of my favorite bars. After you've gone a few times you get to know the regular crowd. It's a laid back place. The best nights to go are Monday and Thursday when Kevin hosts karaoke. The atmosphere is not bar-like, you feel more like you're haning out at a buddy's house. Jim, Bill, Kevin, and Fabi are great and the pizza's not bad either. This place is the BEST kept secret in Costa Mesa. But if you're looking for 'bros' or the typical Orange County blondes, this is not the place for you. Pros: friendly atmosphere, huge age range, great regular crowd Cons: small, closes before 2 :-) more
