Once again, I got super service at Western. I needed 4 new tires on my Jeep compass. I had stopped in about a month ago and got a quote from Ben that I thought was reasonable and included front end alignment. I stopped and saw Scott about a week ago and told him that I wanted to purchase those tires. He was able to look up my record in the system and see the price Ben had quoted. I made a 9AM appointment for yesterday. When I arrived they were ready for me and got me in right away. My total wait was approximately one and one half hours and I was out and back on the road by 10:30AM. The price I was quoted was exactly the price I paid and no one tried to sell me anything else. Western is and always be my go to place for auto service. They take care of both my and my wife's vehicles and I drive in from Lake St. Louis because I trust them and their work. more

I went into Western today to have some recommended service done (ie: transmission service - cooling system flush and tune up). The dealer had advised me that I need all this done during my last oil change (I get lifetime "free" oil changes where I bought my Jeep). The dealer told me the cost would be in the $600 price range. I called Western and spoke to Phillip and he told me that the cost would be much less if I had those services done at Western. I made an early appointment for today. I was taken right away at 8AM. After about 30 minutes Ben came to me with a broken piece of metal and told me that he had found this laying in the battery tray. It was the oil change dipstick tube that the dealer should have repaired during my last oil change. It was obvious by the dirt and grime covering it that it had been broken for some time. Ben got on the phone immediately and found the replacement part at a dealer in South County and asked them to send it to the shop right away. To make a long story short it did take a fairly long time for the part to arrive but I was kept informed of the progress frequently. The part finially arrived and was installed. My other services had been completed while waiting for the part. The total cost of my repair and service came to more than $200 less than what the dealer estimated. Had it not been for the extra cost of the broken dipstick tube the total price would have been less than half the dealer quote. Western will be getting all my business from here on out including oil changes. A "free" oil change is truly not "free" if it is not done properly. I do intend to speak to the service manager at the dealer in the morning and demand to know why the broken part was missed during my last and probably several prior oil changes. I no longer trust the dealer for any work on my vehicle. I do trust Western and all the crew to do my repair work properly. Thamks guys! more

Did not check air pressure in tires when rotating. Takes way too long to check out. more

The analysis of the check engine light produced conflicting results (2 codes) so unfortunately WTA could not diagnose the problem. WTA's electronic diagnostic tool was apparently limited for my somewhat uncommon VW diesel engine. But WTA did not charge me for their effort and even suggested another local auto repair shop that might help me. My WTA whole experience could be characterized as polite, helpful, and fair. more

Did a great job. Gave an Honest Recommendation and did not charge me for looking at the vehicle. more

They got me in right away and fixed my rear brakes. When an issue came up on the calibration that was not in the original estimate the mechanic informed me via phone and did not charge for labor and only for the part. Been to several repair shops in the past but this place by far exceeds excellent customer service. more

My sunglasses were stolen that were $300 and I went back to talk to the manager he told me he will call me because the guy that worked on my car was very honest and he couldn't see him stealing my Sunglasses I used to be satisfied but now I'm not because I've been going there for over eight years and a manager never called me back. more

I came in for a state inspection and an oil change. When I arrived thet reminded that I needed my free tire rotation as well aa9i didn't remember). I was in and out completely finished in 30 minutes. I come all the way from Lake St. Louis for service and wouldn't even consider anyplace else. more

I am a registered nurse who is a complete laymen when it comes to mechanics. These guys take care of their clients. My grandpa always said find yourself a good mechanic and you'll stop getting swindled by the dealership. These guys do the work they say, they are honest and up front. I see j t my mom to them and they fixed her issue, she was also swindled by her dealer. I will recommend Western Tire&Auto to all that I Know more

Appointment was at 11: am. Car was taken into garage bay at time of appointment & returned to parking lot in approximately 20 minutes. It took another hour and 10 minutes to get paperwork & to pay for inspection, at 12:30 pm. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Unless you can get your paper work process together, I can no longer recommend you. I came to this business for years, new owners need to make serious changes. more
