I went to West Hills Health Care for several years because I really like Dr. Peasley. I always dreaded calling to make the appointment because the staff was unfriendly. I also got really tired of constantly dealing with the billing department over their errors when I didn't even see them as regularly as the errors would show up to me in the mail.\r

There were times that I was treated rudely, such as when I was told not to call for my test results because they would call me when they came in. She talked down to me like I was a disobedient child, explaining that I'd already been told that they would take awhile to come in. I waited for 3 more months afraid to call back again, and finally scheduled another appointment for something unrelated just to go in and ask my doctor. She found in the file that my results had been in that entire time.\r

I had to deal with billing errors more often than I even saw a doctor. Unexplainable things would show up on my bill, things would show up two or three times for one visit, I would have to call and ask my insurance to be billed once or twice before it was done at times, and charges to my accounts would be seperated into chunks that didn't make sense. \r

I was tired of the cold treatment when I came in. The staff would be cheerfully playing around behind the counter and would wipe the smiles off their faces before dealing with their clients. I heard them gossiping about a client one time and it made me very uncomfortable. I wondered if they would do the same to me, about my very private moments there.\r

I felt like I was in trouble being there, even while I went through a cancer scare. I am happy to be moving on. No more mono-tone voices handing me clipboards to fill out and telling me to have a seat, when I've been seeing the same face for years, and looking irritated if I ask for an earlier appointment because I just want a little pseudofed and they wouldn't let me order the refill over the phone.\r

Goodbye West Hills!!!\r

Pros: Dr. Peasley was great, but she has moved on
Cons: I dreaded even having to make my appointment with the staff.
