efficient & knowledgeable 11/29/2010

I called on a Saturday, even with a time restriction (I had to leave by 3). They said "no problem" and Sergey showed up at my door around 2:15, even with a call 30 minutes before to let us know he was on his way! Sergey was fast, efficient, and knowledgeable, as well as very professional and kind. He fixed our problem in our washer, and then even got a bump out of the exterior of the machine for us! I own a 45-year-old Furnace and wanted to know if it was still safe to use. I left a message on the Service Magic Web Site for a Furnace checkup. Within 3 minutes I received a call from Michael at West Coast Chief Repair. I explained to Michael that I wanted a serviceman to check the air output for Carbon Monoxide. Michael set up an appointment for a serviceman to check out my Furnace. The morning of the appointment I received a call from Kevin at West Coast Chief Repair. He said he would be at my home in 30 minuets. He was on time! He spent 30 minutes checking the burners & checking the vents for Carbon Monoxide output. He did a good job. more

Great and Fast 10/11/2010

Aug 28, 2010. I had a refridgerator failure during last weeks heat wave. It was a ten year old, expensive Kitchenaid. Kitchenaid basically said that it was unrepairable because the serial # was missing so it would be impossible to get parts. I found West Coast online and they called me back in 30 SECONDS!!! Thats at 10 o'clock at night. Their man, Vladimir, came the next morning. He diagnosed it as a fan problem, found the part #, got the part and installed it for under $300. He did say that it might be computer related, but that would be much more money, so we did the fan first. The fridge and freezer are both working perfectly. I could not ask for more. fantastic 9/7/2010

I've had them come out on several occasions as they are the company that my home warranty contracts with to do our repairs. I've never had any issue with them. They show up on time. The repairs are reasonably priced. My home warranty expired 6 months ago and I had them come out to fix my dryer today, so I had to actually pay this time. They got the repair done quickly and professionally and I would highly recommend them to anyone. I know they have different service people for different jobs in various locations but the people who serve the Long Beach area are fantastic. more

Wow - I'm glad I actually didn't read YELP prior to calling these guys. I was a little skeptical at first and very anxious about hiring off the web to begin with, BUT they were actually good. Fixed the dishwasher for $130 (with $10 coupon) in about one hour. Their reported diagnosis fee is $35 which goes to the cost of fixing your appliance. The issue was electrical - wires needed to be repaired and the dishwasher was taken apart in the process. I was impressed that John from Ukraine was able to fix it at all. - Fast service - Reasonable price in my opinion - Courteous and focused more

I am pleased with the result. 7/28/2010

My Fridge stopped cooling yesterday 1/25/10, and I used google & Yelp to see what was in my area. I called West Coast because they were local. The repair guy showed up more or less on time, he did have to call to verify the address. He worked for about forty five minutes and repaired the fridge. As far as I can say I am happy with the service and I am pleased with the result. At this point I can say I would use them again if I have a problem. more

I submitted a request for washing machine repair through Service Magic and these were the first guys who called, so I just scheduled them. Then I read some of the negative reviews and got really nervous. To my relief, the guy showed up when he was supposed to, he was friendly, professional, nice to my cats (which I appreciate), and when he almost fell down my stairs, he made some jokes about it. More importantly, he fixed my washing machine in 5 minutes and showed me what to do if the same problem occurred again and only charged me the $35 initial visit fee. Admittedly, my problem was a very minor one, so I didn't have to deal with ordered parts or repeat visits, but I was very pleased with the level of professionalism and service. more

Great service 3/25/2010

Overall I had a very pleasant experience. The customer service rep. was prompt, effective and very pleasant. Technician came during the time frame that was specified by the office (this is a very rare occurrence). The quote was actually $50 less than the lowest quote I had from competitors (I shopped around, had 3 other companies come in for an estimate). My A/C unit was fixed in a timely manner and from the first trial (no repeat appt. for faulty parts, etc.), my quote was less than I expected to pay, I got great customer service and a knowledgeable technician. I am one happy customer. Thank you! more

West Coast Chief Repair is my reliable A/C service company 3/22/2010

One of our 5 ton A/C units broke down about a month ago and we had West Coast Chief come out to fix it. It was a complicated repair but they know what theyre doing the unit was fixed in 2 days (required 3 trips). People at West Coast were also very understanding. The unit broke in the middle of a heat wave and they promptly dispatched their technician to fix it, so we didnt have to wait for days, it was getting pretty close to 100 degrees inside. Now, a month later, another heat wave comes around and our other 5 ton unit takes a dive. West Coast was here in under 3 hours and the unit was back up and running an hour later. Very professional outfit. Would gladly recommend and use again in the future. Semper Fi! more

Great Air Conditioning Service- LIFE SAVERS !!! 3/16/2010

They just saved our lives. That was unreasonably hot in our house today. They showed up withing 35 minutes - THATS UNREAL, BUT IT REALLY HAPPENED. Tech was pro becasue he knew that it was bad contactor right away. He replaced it , charged $125 and I gave him $50 tip which was well deserved. Thanks you very very much. We will refer you to everyone we know. more
