Tried to buy a snow blower at West Chester Lawn & Garden?Garden today. There was only one 2-stage blower on display. It was last year's model. My attempts to get more information on when other models would be available were met by complete indifference by everyone I talked to. Wanted to support a local company. Guess I'll go buy a snow blower from a large multi-national conglomerate instead. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how West Chester Lawn and Garden stays in business. They honestly do not care about customers. more

I recently purchased a used machine earlier last month. When I was there I was impressed with the terrific staff that had greeted me and showed me the Mower that I had come to see. I liked what I saw and I bought the mower that day. All was good until I had starting problems with the mower and had to jump it at each lawn in order to keep it running. I called to see if they could get my mower in and their staff was happy to have me drop it off and looked at. Being that its spring time I did not expect a good turn around rate, but I was very surprised having my mower fixed and ready to run about two business days after I dropped it off. It's very very hard to find good help and a good shop. I know I'm only a small cutting service out of Anderson Township, but I will for sure return because of the great care and service I was shown. More expensive than a surgeon and as unethical as a criminal 3/29/2012

I called for a tune up on my riding mower and got taken for $171 and got my mower back 3 weeks later with nothing done. First instead of charging a % for a deposit they charged my card for an hour of service plus pick and and delivery 2 days before they even picked up my mower. They scheduled a three hour window for pick up and arrived 45 minutes late. They kept my mower for three weeks before they even looked at it then called me with a $700 estimate on a 12 year old mower and when I ask what parts were essential they said everything including a discharge chute that has no bearing whatsoever on the functionality of the machine. I told them just to return the mower as it was not worth what they wanted to put on it so they scheduled a two hour window for return and this time they arrived two hours early at 8:30 am while I was in the shower. They kept the entire hour of service fees they charged even though they probably only took 10 minutes to evaluate the machine. They were rude, expensive and their suggestion to put $700 of repairs into a 12 year old machine was beyond unethical. I gave them one star because I had to give something to publish the review honestly they do not even deserve that. more

Great Atmosphere! Great Customer Service! 12/8/2011

I can only assume the previous two users had extenuating circumstances. Every time I've been in to this place of business I've been greeted kindly and felt right at home. We've had our equipment service by these folks for years and will continue going back. On one occasion I do remember it taking several weeks to get our lawn mower back, but there was a part on back-order which was beyond their control. I've been to almost every other lawn mower dealership in town and West Chester Lawn & Garden is definitely ""leading the pack"". more

Extremely poor service department - borderline unethical 9/28/2011

It is difficult to describe it all here. But, in general I will not go back there and I would advise the same. I sure hope the good companies that put their good name and reputation in West Chester Lawn & Garden read these because it is a shame. Do not trust them with your equipment service. more

These guys are slow to get your tool back and the workmanship is greatly lacking. I've taken both my Stihl and Toro equipment there and was disappointed both times. The first time I thought they just had an off day. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. After I took my mower there, I experienced the same poor service that came with a premium price tag. Unless you seek to spend a lot and get frustration in return, find somewhere else to go. more
