I just bought 2 run flat tires and the tire sensor light remained on and on and on. I took it back and they just looked at each other and then let air out of the existing tires. Their final answer was take it back to the dealership if it's not fixed. They tout in the store about their "certified technicians" but it would seem that they should be able to change tires without damaging the sensor. When one spends $900+ dollars for tires, they should do it right!
