Was a patient of Dr. Werblin for 13 years. Previous doctor had me on on Timoptic to lower pressure because of family history of glaucoma in my family. Grandmother, aunt, and father was blind because of this disease. Have three sister, brother, niece and nephew on pressure lowering drops. Dr. Werblin took me off of drops on first visit and assured me over and over that I did not have glaucoma and did not need drops. Because there were so many members of my family with glaucoma I became more and more concerned year after year, and voiced these concerns to Dr. Werblin. He assured me I had nothing to be concerned about. In Feb, 2005 decided to see another doctor for second opinion. He immediately sent me to Duke Eye Center because I had significant damage in both eyes due to pressure. Dr. Werblin did not give me good eye care and because of this I now have an uncertain future. If all you need is a pair of glasses then probably no problem but if you are looking for long term doctor please, please take a little time and do some homework before you chose you doctor. Good Luck
