Wellington Place

My father-in-law needed a place to complete some rehab after a stroke. This was the first time our family needed a nursing facility, so we weren't sure what to expect. Getting him there was a pretty simple process. This was the only place that didn't have that ""hospital"" feeling. We had looked at some other places, but none of them compared to Wellington Place. The building is beautiful, very clean, and the skilled nursing staff were really great. They kept in touch with me and my family and always answered our questions. Pros: Great Staff more

I started to see a decrease in my fathers ability to perform every day functions. I spoke to my siblings and we came to the agreement that an assisted living environment might be the best thing for Dad. Both of my siblings live out of state, so it was up to me to find a place that would be a good fit for my father. After looking at numerous assisted living facilities, I came to Wellington Place and instantly was greeted by an exceptional staff. After touring and getting the necessary information, I felt that this was a good fit. My father has been living there for 6 months now and he couldn't be happier with his care. My neighbor has been at Wellington Place for three weeks. He is going to return to his home shortly after his rehabilitative stay at Wellington Place. The therapists and entire staff were outstanding when we were there to visit. Pros: Great Rehabilitation more

Dad needed a rehab facility on short notice after some unforeseen post surgery complications. We set up a tour with the Admissions Director. We decided that the facility was acceptable and indicated he would be released from hospital that day or the next. There was NO indication that the 24 hour window of Dads release was an issue. Within 5 minutes of us leaving she (admission director) fired off an email pressuring the hospital to get Dad there ASAP. Within an hour from the first email she issued an ultimatum to the hospital that if he was not there soon there would not be a bed. During this time Wellington never communicated with us, the family who took the time to tour the facility and meet the staff. Nor was there ANY indication of a potential issue when we were there. Wellington Place helped our family out in a time of need. Mom and Dad both needed a place to live after Mom ended up in the Hospital with a broken hip. We went to Wellington Place and the admission staff help us get Mom in to the skilled unit. Dad could not stay at home with out Mom's help. My sister tried and but it was too much with Dad's confusion. Pathways is Wellington Place unit for the confused. What a neat place! You have to go see it.
