Weiler Convenience Stores

We stopped to get gas and snacks for the kids, and my daughter went to use the bathroom. When she came out she said the bathroom had made her eyes sting. I went to see, and sure enough, the bathroom absolutely REEKED of bleach. It was enough to get my eyes watering. My husband had to take our daughter back to the car to rinse hers out with water. The cashier didn't seem to know what to do when I told her, so I ended up speaking to the manager there. When I told her how potent the bleach odor was, she rudely explained that ""that's the only way to keep the wall white"" and that the mixture hadn't given them any problems in the past. She refused to acknowledge that my daughter was near to tears because of how strong the fumes had been! Unbelievable. I can understand why they need to use bleach, but the fact that this woman simply crossed her arms and waited for me to shut up and leave was unforgivable. I will never, ever come back to this store. I've been treated better by broken glass. Pros: Far enough out of town to easily avoid. Cons: NOT kid friendly or safe! more

It's refreshing to be greeted with a smile and a hello when entering Weiler's. That doesn't seem to happen at many stores anymore. I for one, appreciate it. I've been to all the Weiler's stores and all the managers are always very pleasant and professional. I've never seen the eye rolls or any rudeness. The store managers are doing a good job of overseeing its employees. I also love the food and beverages. Excellent choices!! I truly enjoy coming to this store. I also like the cents off gas coupons. This place is fine if you pay for your gas outside. Inside is a different story. The management is trying and failing to impress its customers by turning their staff into perpetual greeters. Whether you like it or not, you will have two to three girls yelling ""Hello!"" to you no matter what they're doing. It's rediculous how tenacious they are at getting that single word out. The one time I've visited this store and wasn't greeted, her superior chastised her in a ridiculous show of intimidation. If you have any problems or concerns, you're better off talking to a brick wall than to a manager. This past week I had the poor luck to be waited on by her, and thought it was worth asking if she would match Quik Trip's new 8 cents off per gallon rather than Weiler's 6 cents. Whereas a simple ""I'm sorry, I can't do that,"" would have worked, I received an eyeroll and was told, flat out, that I wasn't at Kwik Trip. End of discussion. I'll be taking Weiler's manager's advice and go to Kwik Trip. Not for the extra two cents off a gallon, but for the same reason one lays their head on a pillow instead of a rock. It's more accomodating and you don't leave it with a headache. Pros: The gas pumps function properly. Good food/coffee. Cons: No sense of customer service. Management beyond poor. more
