First off, I was informed yesterday when I went for my appt. at the center that the owner was closing the Smyrna Center down completely. I am appalled that this is happening since the center has only been open for approximately a year. What is going on? I am so very happy attending this center and I have lost more than 28 lbs. and it is all contributed to the staff at the center that treats the patients like ""queens"" and encourages you each week on your weight loss program. I feel like I am losing my whole family. Our nurse at the center is awesome and cares about each and every one of us. I know that other clients are just as unhappy as I am about the closing and the fact that all of the staff will lose their jobs. If the owner doesn't want to keep the center open, they should let someone else take the center and make a go of it. I know that this office will be very profitable and up until recently, it was the only really good weight loss management center that we had and it still would be the only good one to join. Why, why, why are you doing this to all of us here in Smyrna? The people in East Tennessee need to help us out here in Smyrna and convince the owners to keep us going..or let someone else own the center and provide us with the top-notch care that we have been afforded so far. I love this place! I went to WLMC several years ago and lost more than 65 pounds. I have tried every single diet there has ever been developed and this is the only plan that really works! They not only help you lose weight, but they teach you lifestyle changes. Every time I walk in the door, I am greeted by the girls (who know me by name). I feel like I have disappointed a ""sister"", when I know I have not had a good diet week. I have recently returned, after a 2 year hiatus, only to find that there are many other products and services that the center offers. From their recent: Teeth whitening, micro-dermabrasion, supplements, mineral make-up and their new Super Lipo-vite injections. I am thrilled that I have the opportunity to take advantage of these products at the same place....and at a reasonable cost. There is NO price on my health and self-esteem. If there was, this would be the best price to have these things done. After living in numerous cities across the United States, I can honestly say, Weight Loss Management Center is the place to go! Let me start off by saying that my family started going to this center back in Dec & my mother and sister both lost close to 60 pounds between the two of them in less than 6 months. I started going there when I moved back to Knoxville at the end of May of this year and have lost about 15lbs in about a month and a half while going there. Now there were two CNA's that worked there that made our weekly appointments pleasant, but the GM & the Owner are absolutely rude and un-professional. The GM Arlene requested our services for business cards & for web design, we offered to do the entire website on a trade basis, since between the three of us we were spending an average of $800 per month in there. We designed 2 different website specs and card design as well as ordered the cards before payment was even rendered to us. We then sat on the proposal/contract for 3 weeks while getting the run around and no call back from the owner of the company. Basically making this long story short, the owner cussed me out over the fact that she felt pressured (which she was not) because the GM Arlene lied to us about payment of services already preformed. The owner also fired the girl that gave us the message that GM Arlene was not paying when she said she would and when I questioned this, that is when the owner cussed & yelled at me. Just thought that everyone out there should know what kind of company they are thinking about doing business with. Also that we found another weight loss clinic called Premier in Turkey Creek that is going to cost us about $300 a month for all of us as opposed to $800 a month.
