Weigands Nursery & Garden

I've spent a lot of money on purchases at their store whether it was perennials, annuals, or seasonal decor. So it was disappointing to me when 1 day I bought $200 worth of perennials and when they all died they wouldn't even exchange the dead plants for new ones. I understand their policy, but I do not agree with it. There should be a 1-year return policy on all perennials. In Michigan, where the weather is unpredictable and where our last couple winters have been mild there is no reason for these plants to be dying. Wiegands needs to stand by their products and not just for a few months. I purchased my perennials in 2015 and we had up to Sept 1st of that year to return any plants. My plants were all doing great until the following spring came and everything was dead. I notified them but since it was past the policy date of Sept. 1 they wouldn't do anything about it. Any great business stands by their product and would help the customer in any way in order to keep them as a customer. Very disappointing. more

There are a lot of nurseries and garden centers in the Metro area, and 3 or 4 stand out above the rest. Wiegand's is one of them. And, for trees and shrubs, Wiegand's even stands out among the leaders! They are experts who really help you make the right choices. The selection is really impressive, the plants/trees are well cared for. Plus, depending what you buy, they can deliver. They're no more expensive (and sometimes cheaper) than the other top nurseries in the area! Make it a point to check this place out! more

I have been a loyal customer of Weigand's since it opened a few years back.. this is by far the nicest nursery around, this is a family owned and operated business and I like to shop at these places because the staff is generally friendlier then at big name places. the prices here are very reasonable and they have everything you can imagine for your landscaping desire. they have a huge greenhouse that is just beautiful. they have all sorts of trees, plants, flowers, they carry things to make your yard unique and beautiful.. don't worry if you don't know much about landscaping because they do and they will take their time to help you figure out exactly what it is that you want and need. they are always fully staffed which is nice because they are so busy all the time, especially in the spring and fall. more

Not only is this a nursery with the biggest selection of flowers you ever seen. It is a neat place to bring the kids for the activities that they have for them. They have neat things every once in awhile for the kids. They have an easter egg hunt where they hide the plastic eggs throughout the nursery. They have face painting there and once they had a petting farm there. The kids have a good time. They also have the prettiest flowers, shrubs, and trees. They have just about everything you need to landscape your yard. more
