I have read some reviews stating how this business lacks compassion for animals. They do not treat their employees much better. Weak management. Lacks a professional approach. Often in disarray, a chaotic environment Boarding situation is lacking structure, organization, and is understaffed. more

Is there nothing that can be done to put these folks out of business. They are fine as long as your pet is but as soon as your pet needs help the dollar signs start flying. They take advantage of people during a rough emotional time and extort money from them. I took my two dogs there for years no problem but as soon as I needed their help in an emergency situation they want a commitment to several hundred dollars before they would do anything. Run don't walk from this place they are the most uncompassionate people I have ever encountered.\r more

We recently moved to the area and were in search of a vet for our 2 year old golden retriever and our kitten. I cannot begin to stress enough how wonderful the doctors and staff of WAH are! These are people are passionate about the work they do and the services they provide, finding you all was a real sigh of relief. more

My 13 year old Jack Russel terrier 5/24/2012

My 13 year old Jack Russel terrier recently started developing severe arthritis. After consulting with the doctor I was relieved to find out how many medical options I had to keep him healthy and pain free. more

I have to give a big thank you to everyone at Waxhaw who helped me dog and I out last week. After Buster got attacked by another dog I brought him here and the staff was amazing. He stayed for the night and when I picked him up the next day, he was his normal self. It seemed like the whole incident had never happened! more

  • Waxhaw Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility, located in Waxhaw, NC. We are the largest, and one of the oldest animal hospitals in the area. We have a long, strong history with our clients and the community. We continually strive to help contribute to the needs of the pet population in Waxhaw and greater South Charlotte, and readily welcome our new neighbors! We are committed to continually grow and improve, allowing us to always provide the best care for our patients, all through their lives. We strive to provide the best information for training, nutrition, immunization, and behavior, as well as a caring, comfortable environment. Our staff is always happy to go the extra mile to make sure that questions are always answered and that concerns are addressed. Not only do we have a comprehensive facility, which includes a state-of the-art lab, but also an ultrasound, surgical laser, and laser therapy options for various conditions. We also operate a year-round boarding facility connected to the hospital, where our guests get extra special attention by our committed kennel staff, as well as any special medical care if needed.
