Doug Watson and his team were organized, compassionate and very helpful. They arranged a military honours memorial service for my Dad and were very helpful with my endless questions. They looked after Mum very well and did a lovely job with the service. more

Watson Funeral Home handled the care of my father at his death. These people were extremely compassionate and very helpful in all aspects of our experience. They contacted a florist owner when the wrong arrangement was sent and made sure a correct bouquet was there in time for the funeral. They delivered flowers to the church even after the service because the florist had delivered them late. My Dad looked exactly like himself. They went out of their way to meet every request my family made, and they went way beyond that to comfort and provide for our needs. What a comfort it was to be in the hands of such caring, capable, compassionate people! more

I was very disappointed with the service that we received from Watson's funeral home. The funeral director didn't ask if we wanted a picture of mom in the paper, which should have been done. Our family member didn't look like anything like she did in life. Her hair was wrong and because of the angle she was at in the casket and low pillows, she had a double chin-she would have absolutely hated that!. The funeral was disorganized, and the director said he couldn't get a police escort so we were snaked in an illegal funeral procession of sorts through the countryside backroads. After four days, mom's grave still has no name placard and a potted plant and the casket spray were thrown on top of the grave fill haphazardly. I really feel like mom deserved better and since we were in shock and upset at the time, it was really up to the funeral director to help set up the service. We needed help and I feel that the minimum was done. Wish we had gone to Smiths'! Pros: Chapel, lets people pick own pastor Cons: Not able or willing to be totally involved in family planning and being sure family is satisfied. more
