Editorial review from Citysearch 10/29/2014

My daughter took 2 years of group lessons and still could not swim. Thanks to Waterworks Aquatics and the amazing coaches Ariel and Lindsey (truly genius when it comes to swim instruction) that has changed. Piper has gotten just the right amount of “push” she needed, but in a fun and nurturing way. We could not be happier with how Piper has progressed here. :-) more

Editorial review from Citysearch 9/11/2012

I would like to take a moment to thank waterworks for the work they have done with my daughter in the past few months. A special thanks to her instructor Miss Devin, Miss Allejandra and Miss Carmela. I would recommend Waterworks to any parent who wants their first foray into swimming for their child to be a success. My daughter started her swim class only 4 months ago, and she has quickly advanced to a level where she can swim by herself, thanks to waterworks. She loves Waterworks, she wakes up every morning and asks me if she has a swim class that day, which to me is the ultimate reward for any facility! I could write an essay about how wonderful the instructors are, how clean and luxurious their facilities are, not to mention the heated pools, but I suggest you check it out yourself and come away impressed. It is definitely value for money:) more

Nice Clean facility 4/16/2012

Great facility and staff! We hav been going here since our children were babies and have not thought about going to a different place. Staff is young, professional, and want the best for the kids. Our kids used to be afraid of water, till Carmella and Jessica showed them how to love swimming. more

Great Swim School 12/26/2011

\r I physically visited this swim school before enrolling my 5 yr old. I liked the fact that the school provides indoor/outdoor pools, this keeps classes from interruption due to weather. My daughter has been attending twice a week for over a year, she is at level 7 of 8 and I am very impressed with her accomplishment. She looks forward to swimming with her coach, Ms. Tiffany. The training routine is very structured and consistent, on occasion my daughter has had the opportunity to be trained by some of the other coaches and the training is seamless. Both swimming instructors and front desk employees are very nice, friendly and helpful. I can’t compare this swim school to others as I never started anywhere else. However, from talking to other parents, more than once they share with me that this school is much better than the ones they came from.\r \r I highly recommend this swim school. \r more

Jacquline is the Best 12/3/2011

My son has been attending Waterworks for about 8 months.( Started at 4 months old) Our beginning parent and me lessons started out a little rocky due to an incompetent instructor but once we switched over to Jacquline a few months into it, everything has been fantastic. She is attentive, excited to see each and every baby, the best part is that it seems like she truly enjoys her job. My son loves her! He literally jumps out of my arms just so he can swim with her. I can not say enough wonderful things about her! She really is the best! As for everything else, the parent and me lessons are a bit expensive for a 20 minute class with 5 other kids but it's pretty much the same price every where else. The only negative thing I can say about the place is that the pool could be much cleaner! But it is always warm:) more

OVER CHARGE, MORE LIKE A SWIM MILL. 11/17/2011

20min back to back lessons, Don't be a minute late. Plus charge you a crazy amount for a lesson. That's why they don't list the prices online. Owner is money hungry, cares less about your child. Look at other private swim schools. We will not be attending hear any longer. more

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE . 11/17/2011

THE OWNER ONLY CARES ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY HE CAN MAKE IN A LIMITED TIME. NOT AT ALL ABOUT THE ACTUAL FAMILIES. When I went in to use a voucher I bought online, my toddler was very disappointed when we found out that the owner changed his mind about the deal & was only taking it from new families. They actually turned my daughter away. The owner only cares about how may people he can overcharge (& I mean 4x the amount of a regular private lesson any where else) No prices listed online. Go sign up your child with a different private swim lesson facility. Even the YMCA or Red Cross are much better than this one. Don't waste your time here. more

Best swim school! 9/28/2011

Waterworks Aquatics has been nothing but a positive experience for my family. We love their program! Our daughter has been coming here for about three years. She is almost 4 and she is very efficient in the water. She started with parent and me classes which were a lot of fun. Now she can swim the length of the pool, dive and do the backstroke. Now, our 18 month old son does parent and me classes and enjoys every minute. They teach him to float on his back and to be comfortable in the water. The instructors are great. more

RE: Outstanding Swim School 6/14/2011

My daughter started semi private lessons three months ago and is absolutely hooked. When she started she could not swim. Now she is swimming laps and having so much fun. She loves all of the instructors and the staff. We've had the privilege of working with a variety of the staff and have been impressed with all of them. They each have a unique way of teaching children but all teach the same Waterworks fundamentals. If you want your child to learn how to swim either recreationally or competitively waterworks will give a great foundation to build on. We highly recommend it! more

Good Customer Service 4/20/2011

After reading about the bad experience we had with a particular instructor, the owner of Waterworks contacted me. He offered us a make up session. He seemed really genuine about wanting 100% Customer Satisfaction. I appreciate that he cares about the clients and that he desires to make his swim school one of the best in Orange County. more

waterworks is great 4/12/2011

We've been a Waterworks customer for over 3 years since my son was 10 months old. He's now almost 4 and my daughter just turned 2. She's been in the program since she was 1 year old. We're very happy with Waterworks and the program they have. We looked at the YMCA as well as crash courses for teaching your children to swim. We ruled out the crash course idea because it just seemed like it would be good for a month or two while they perhaps remembered their skills to get to the edge of the pool - but then would forget. Our goal was for our kids to be able to not only swim, but to swim well and be good swimmers when swimming at camp summer adventures or other random places we went to. We chose WW over the YMCA because the pool(s) are heated and the facilities are very modern and clean. The YMCA was okay, but the pool was only outside and freezing in the winter. The pools are built specifically for training and kids. They have a ""shallow"" end that is for the kids to warmup / play in while getting ready or after their class. The pools are super warm - 90+ degrees and one is salt water which is very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The instructors (we've had 4 different ones - 2 of them left WW or were promoted ""out of the pool"") have all been great. They match instructors to the children so your kids can build a relationship with the instructors. They listen to the parents about how each parent wants their children to progress (push them hard or take it easy). Overall, our kids really like the environment and enjoy going to swim class. We go once a week and that seems to be a good amount for us. Afterwards, we use their full bathroom/shower rooms to get ready. I fully shower if I've gone into the pool with the kids also. My children have progressed great. The thing that I like about WW is that they stress the actual strokes and form over everything else. They're very repetitious with the strokes and reward the children for doing them correctly. They do it in such a way that there's a lot of variety and the children don't seem to get ever get bored. My son who isn't quite 4 is now able to jump in the pool (over his head), get above water, swim with a proper free style or backstroke to the other side of the pool and get back out. We're very happy with that. My only complaint about WW is that the makeup classes are a pain to use. You can't use them during the same time slot that your normal class is in. This is a pain because for us, because that's about the only time in our schedule that that class works. Thus, the classes end up sometimes going to waste (even though we paid for them). I really like Waterworks. The teachers are great with our kids and I foresee us using their facilities for years to come. more

Great Program! 2/10/2011

My 4 year old son has been enrolled with Waterworks in semi-private lessons for a few months. Initially I was worried that I waited too long to enroll him and he may be slow to ""catch up"". I worried for no reason...his coach, Vincent, has been incredible. My son went from crying during the first lesson (a common occurrance) to being mildly curious for the second lesson, to now saying how he ""loves coach Vincent"". I highly recommend Waterworks for the great faciltiy and great staff. more

Excellent All Around 2/2/2011

Our son has been taking swim lessons at Waterworks since he was about 18 months old with the intent of getting him water safe. We started out with the parent and me classes and have now moved on to semi-private lessons. I was impressed from day one by the individual attention each child received during the parent and me classes while allowing the parent to be very involved in teaching their child. Once my son had gotten to a level of swimming that was above the parent and me classes we moved to the semi-private level and his ability to swim drastically improved very quickly. There is something to be said for the smaller teacher/student ratio. After a little less than a year of lessons my 2 year old is able to climb out of the pool unassisted, float on his back and swim for about 10 feet with little to no help and is now learning some strokes. I also was impressed that Waterworks not only taught children to swim but they also offer classes for all ages and skill levels including the handicapped. We love that classes can be year round and indoors so my son will be able to use the skills he has learned. The front desk staff has always been friendly and willing to help with questions or scheduling of lessons. We have had lessons with 3 different instructors and each of them were kind, gentle yet firm when it came to teaching safety....all qualities a parent wants when it comes to teaching their child to be safe. \r more

Excellent Swim School 11/23/2010

My daughters have both been going to Waterworks since they were around one year old each (they are now 5 and 3). I cannot say enough good things about the school, from the facility, to the swim instructors, to the front support staff. The support staff are always friendly, professional, and helpful. The instructors are very professional, patient, skilled, and very attentive to each individual child's needs. Both of my girls love to swim and feel very comfortable and confident in the water because of the swim instruction. Whenever we are at the pool, people comment on how skilled the girls are at swimming. Waterworks has provided exactly what I was looking for, which is a long lasting positive swim experience for my children. more

Wonderful Swim School 11/2/2010

I have been taking my two girls to Waterworks since August. I cannot even express how happy I am with this swim school. Before Waterworks we were attending Australian Swim School for over a year and before that we went to Water safe.I feel that my girls have progressed so much more in the last 3 months then they did in the past year and a half. The instructors are very professional and are determined to have the students achieve their best and still have fun. It has seemed to me in other swim schools they keep students in the same level for a very long time so they can make more money. At that point, the kids start getting bored and lose their confidence since they are still not able to swim at all but have been doing the same thing over and over in the past year. Therefore it becomes more of a business and less about the kids. Also,I love that the facilities have (showers, hair dryers etc) and my girls love the free play time that they have in the pool either before or after the lesso more

The best place to learn swimming 10/29/2010

My friend recommend waterworks to us, and as soon as my 4 years old daughter had first trial lesson and free play time at kids pool, every week she's been looking forward to go swimming lesson. I think the most important quality of teacher for young kids is patience and skill of getting kids feel fun, and I'm so satisfied with those things so far with David and Christine.  She is now almost five, and I see so much progress of her stroke and also she is getting physically grow so much. I  have already recommended water works aquatics to couple of my friends. more

Fun for Kids 10/8/2010

I wanted my kids to have fun with swim lessons and to feel safe in the water. Waterworks made my kids feel like family so they were very comfortable even at the early age of 6 mths. I have 3 kids and all 3 have been taking lessons there for over 4 years. My daughter started at age 4 and now that she is 8 she swims on 2 swim teams for the city. She still goes back for private lessons to improve her strokes. My 4 year old has been swimming there since he was 9 mths old and went from parent and me classes to now privates. My 2 year old has been swimming there since she was 6 mths old and has now began to swim in private lesson on her own at age 2. They all love this place and I would highly recommend. more

Fantastic school - fun for kids, and reassuring for parents 9/20/2010

I wanted my son to take swimming lessons early on so he could have fun and be safe in the water. We started with the Parent & Me classes soon after he turned 1. He's now 2.5, and does semi-private lessons with the same instructor we started with (Vanessa). He loves it - the swimming, the instructor, the facility, etc. I love it all, too, and knowing that if he fell into water, he can keep his head above the water and swim to the side. That's the best part; the fun aspect is the icing on the cake! I've recommended Waterworks to all of my family and friends with little ones, and they've all had the same great experience. more
