The food menu here is pretty boring, but they do have all the brew pub type selections you would expect (burgers, chicken sandwiches, salmon, appetizers, etc.). Of course they...

Great Food Too 3/7/2011

I?ve been to Watch City many times. I usually go for a couple of beers and order some food but things have changed. They change up the menu and it?s really good. They left a lot of my old favorites on like the wings, a great Cuban and the best fish and chips but now they are offering much more. They have an awesome Rueben and batter dipped burger that is juicy and deep fried OMG, I know it sounds a bit over the top but you have to try it to believe it!. I?m trying to eat my way through this new menu, the steak and cheese was incredible lots of melted cheese and mushrooms. There are a lot of interesting salads too. I tried the small dinner salad it was one of the best salads I have ever had, simple but delicious. I hate it when restaurants take good greens and smother them with bunch of things that taste terrible and I end up pushing aside. I don?t want the whole garden on my plate especially during the winter time when tomatoes and cucumbers are at there worst. They also are now offering daily specials. I went there last Sunday and had the Chicken parm, it was real piece of chicken that was more chicken than bread crumbs, thick, moist, and delicious. I love a good chicken parm and this one was right up there with the best I have had. Yes things have changed at Watch City, like I said; I used to go for a couple beers and some food, now I going for the food and a couple of beers. more

My girlfriend and I were out in Waltham recently and we walked into the Watch City Brewery. more

Best brewpub on East Coast 3/9/2009

Despite some of the previous over-pretentious reviews, this place is hands-down one of the best brew pubs you are likely to find. If you appreciate a well-crafted brew and great food, do not miss this gem. I have fined and frank at many fine microbreweries and brewpubs alike...my final consensus is that I wish my local brewpub would hire watch city's brewer and line cooks. more

Watch your Step & Keep Walking 7/2/2008

ON a street with so many places to eat, there is no reason to eat here unless you accidently walk in and are too polite to leave. I had no problem leaving...so can't talk about the food or drink quality. Pros: The pay properly tax Cons: Their wasting space for a good restaraunt. more

Steer Clear 5/19/2008

Had an awful experience at Watch City- service was slow and terrible and rude on top of it, food was cold and we had gone for a celebration that was basically ruined by this resturant. Why bother to eat here when there are so many great resturants in Waltham? I would skip it. Pros: Good sweet potato fries Cons: Everything else more

HORRIBLE SERVICE... Food Just Okay for Price 8/9/2005

My brother and I went to the Watch City Brewery for lunch this afternoon with my 2 year old nephew. We were seated almost immediately, then no one greeted us again for at least 15 minutes. The waitress barely spoke about a whisper when she came over to us finally and did not say sorry for walking by us 4 times prior to greeting us. Honestly, we almost went someplace else but my nephew was really hungry. The food came up quick, thankfully, but the manner in which it was served as well as the fact that the waitress never came back to offer another drink or ask how everything was made for a very disappointing dining experience. Pros: Good Food Cons: Poor Service, Overpriced more

Fresh brewed! 1/28/2004

Watch City brews some spectacular beers - this is not the place for the 'lite' beer sipper. If you like real beer, waste no more time and try out Watch City. Some of the best local brews I've had in the area. The food is also impressively tasty, though I must say the quality of their brews overshadows the food for me. I've always been happy with my meals, and their menu is seemingly always expanding. The Watch City Roller is a nice accompaniment to a pint of Hops Explosion IPA. Prices are more than reasonable - just beware the crowds at dinner hour. Pros: great beer, good food, atmosphere more

Awesome Place!! 1/13/2003

I have been going to Watch City for years. It just gets better and better. Reviews by whinny vegatarions DO NOT COUNT!! The food is great. I bring my kids in on Sundays. It is a very kid friendly place. The movie theatre next door is great too. You can have a nice dinner(pasta, fish, sandwiches). Then just walk 100 yards to the movies. Did I mention the beer? Always fantastic. Pros: beer, good parking, large portions Cons: closed for lunch on S more

Menu needs more choices 1/9/2003

I love the beer at Watch City. The food is another story. Although I love the onion rings, some of the other food could be improved. The nachos are unlike any other nachos I've seen. A plate of beans, cheese, and salsa is served next to the chips. It gets pretty messy, and it's gross looking at the big soupy mess. The jalapeno poppers are good but they are sitting on canned tomatoes which makes them soggy. I'm not sure how the tomatoes are supposed to be eaten anyway. The veggie burger they serve is obviously frozen, and not good. They have a vegetable pasta rotation that changes every few months. None of them have been tasty. I would love to see more appetizing vegetarian options. I don't eat meat but I've heard the other dishes are good. A favorite is the Watch City Roller sandwich. Pros: good beer Cons: bad food more

Best Beer in Boston 11/14/2002

Brewpubs keep folding, but Watch City still does it right. They always have great beers on tap, and the food is always an extra bonus. Big Beer lovers try the IPA, Titan and the Stout. My wife liked the ""Pie eyed"" Pumpkin Ale. As far as food goes, try the Nachos, chips are on the side, excellent idea. Pros: Beer, Service, Food Cons: Noise more
