Excellent: I come to this restaurant at least once every week. I love sushi and this is the spot for great rolls more

freshest eastside sushi 2/17/2008

this used to be the freshest sushi we have been able to find on the north/eastside. They have been going downhill on taste. Lots of their rolls are similar to rolls at Red Fin in downtown Seattle, but don't taste as well. Some of my fav. rolls are the dragon roll, uptown california roll, crunchy roll. Their tempura is also yummy and they serve edamame before your meal. Candle light place w/nice decor. Can be a bit cold in the winter. Cons: can be a bit cold, no longer freshest eastside sushi more

Great sushi Great Value 2/17/2008

I love sushi! I have been coming here for a few months and I have found it has some of the best sushi around! I was going to Sushi Zen in Mill Creek but it seems there quality has been slipping. Wasabi Bay has very fresh food and the prices are very good. You get your money's worth. The only two things I would change would be the amount of sauce they put on some of the rolls like the Las Vegas roll. And the music is horrible. But other then that it is a great sushi place! Pros: Fresh Sushi Cons: Annoying music more

Wasabi Bay serves fish that is not fresh 10/26/2007

I ate there last night and the Ikura definitely tasted like it had gone ""off."" It was clearly not fresh, and I sp*t it out immediately and nearly v*mited. The sushi chef insisted that it was good but wouldn't eat any when I suggested she try it herself. The waiter started talking about how Ikura is for sophisticated palates, and maybe that's why I didn't like it. I've enjoyed Ikura for 25 years at sushi bars all over the world, and I know good Ikura when I taste it. Wasabi Bay serves fish that is not fresh! Pros: nice furniture Cons: fish not fresh - might make you sick more

Great fresh food and wonderful service 2/13/2007

I have been going to Wasabi Bay for the past couple months and have been very impressed with the food...my fiance is a big sushi fan, and loves it. The prices are a little on the high side but I think its worth it for the quality of the food. I would recommend it to anybody. Pros: Fresh food, good service more

good food, good service in the Japanese style 11/5/2006

We have eaten at this restaurant 5 or 6 times in the last 6 months and everytime we have found the food outstanding. The dishes are quite good, with the Sushi inventive but not bizarre. With the appetizers and other entrees, there is food for the Japanese eater and those who are not quite ready for a complete sushi experience. The saki selection is reasonably priced and offers some outstanding values and tastes. The beer selection is average for a Japanese restaurant. Our experience with the service is that it is attentive and prompt. The food arrives at the table as it does in Japanese restaurants from Tokyo to New York, both the timing and the presentation. This is not a fast food restaurant.\r \r If there is any complaint, it is one of restaurants in general, and that is they are too forgiving of the parents who bring small children, then proceed to goad the children into behaving like they are on a playground. But I guess for everyone who is like me and says this is unacceptable, there are those who say this is fine.\r \r It is a good place to eat, a good value. Pros: good food, good value, good saki Cons: none really more

We love this place! 5/10/2006

Wasabi Bay has become one of our favorite places. We have not had any of the bad experiences noted in the other reviews. They are getting busier, so it is adviseable to call ahead for a reservation. We love the menu and find the quaint setting refreshing. We have never had a problem with service or food. We recommend Wasabi Bay to all of our friends! Pros: menu, parking, service Cons: reservation advised more

Mill creek can do better 12/20/2005

I stopped by the restaurant this evening. Me and my brother were the first to arrive. We were promptly seated. The waitress came by and I ordered some sushi. I love tuna and have always loved sushi. My brother, not so big on sushi, ordered some tempura. The food came out quick, seeing as no one was still in the restaurant except us. I was somewhat skeptical as to how fresh the fish would be in a slow place. The tuna turned out good. The salmon, I could tell was frozen stuff. The wasabi should have been hotter, but oh well. My brother had to return his tempura because there was a hair mixed in. I'm not sure I would go back considering the lack of atmosphere. Oh, and there's no bathroom in the place. You have to go outside to use the bathroom. Not good considering their prices. Pros: Quickly seated, ample parking Cons: Food was subpar, No atmosphere, no bathroom more

The Best Sushi Ever 6/9/2005

This place has the best sushi, the best sake, the best service, and the most creativity Ive seen come out of a Sushi restaurant in Washington. I would highly recommend it to anyone who love sushi. And I'm from Hawaii so my standards are pretty high. more
