An honest Athens hangout 5/14/2010

This downtown staple located on College Avenue is a Coffee shop by day and a bar at, well... all day as well. Walker's is a well rounded pub with knowledgeable bartenders and baristas, able to whip up amazing cappuccinos then pivoting to Old Fashioned cocktails without hesitation. During the day you'll find an eclectic mix of students and townies, businessmen and drifters - all pouring over their laptops or dog-eared copies of the classics. At night the crowd shifts slightly towards the college crowd spending their student loan money on Jager bombs. Be sure to stop in and stay a while to get a great taste of what Athens downtown culture is like. GREAT IMPORTED BEER SELECTION, HOT COFFEE ALSO, AND LOW-KEY BAR ATMOSPHERE 9/2/2008

This bar had great selection with the bonus of a coffee shop built right in! The atmosphere was nice, music selection good with access to t.v. viewing from bar. This place was not over-crowded, though it is a downtown bar. We will definitely be back! Pros: DOWNTOWN LOCATION, GREAT SELECTION OF IMPORTS, AND COFFEE ALSO...
