Walker County Water & Sewerage

Once AGAIN there is NO water on Happy Valley Road. Time to start putting some money into the water company and out of the pockets of the greedy. more

I mean like really, you have to either mail or come to the office and pay your bill?! This is the only major bill that I have to pay like that! AND the water goes out AT LEAST 1 time a quarter if not once a month! more

I have very little problems with the water company. I live a couple of miles behind it. I also have had problems with a price variation regarding my bill. But I thought it had to do with the way the contractor had read the meters, This has been a problem in the past. I believe they have changed the contractors, my bill has been fairly average for the past year or so. I have thought about reading it myself but I never catch the meter reader as they stop. Sometimes I dought they even read my meter. I too wish I could pay on line. But I'm one that don't want to get too dependent on the internet. If the internet world crashes , how would we pay our bills without paperwork ? Myself, I would like to keep the older ways on the back burner. more

I couldnt imagine that there is a worse utility company out there. The bill arrives after the late charges are already added. You cannot pay online, over the phone, or even at the company with a credit or debit card. I have moved several times since the tornados in april 2011 and there is a very noticeable price difference in varies areas. My bill has gone from $60 in one neighborhood to $15 in another with no change in household use. I have called the walker county commissioner about other issues with this awful company but it turns out the directer of the water company works side by side with the commissioner as county planner. This company is corrupt and will charge inappropriate fees to turn on your water and if you miss a payment, beware, there is no grace period. more

This is the MOST OUT-OF-DATE company I have EVER had experience with. It may be time to move out of the ""pony express"" era and into the 21st century. This is a sad, pathetic excuse for a business. If it would let me rank it a 0, that's the score I would give. more

We are sooo tired of being without water for hours at a time!!! We are on the water main nearest the office so our water gets turned off anytime there is a problem, which is quite often. No private company could be 'out' this often and survive. more

I wish I could pay my bill online. it is an inconvenience to go to the office to pay and I don't always catch the mailman or have a stamp or something. paying online is just better for me. I think it would be better for a lot of people. Pros: saves time and money more
